River Run Golf Links is a municipal course owned by the city of Bradenton. Unlike many others in the area, golfers won't have to worry about hitting homes on this non-residential course. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy but it's also a fair test that is anything but boring. The two nines are referred to as the River Nine, the front, and the Pirate nine. The golf course is mostly straightforward and a pleasure to walk, although there are carts available. Ancient oak trees draped with Spanish moss provide shade and scenery throughout the course. Water has a prominent presence, coming into play on almost every hole. Some of the holes are tight and can be quite challenging but beginners can still approach River Run Golf Links with confidence.

Played on a Friday afternoon. Got out 15 minutes ahead of our tee time. Finished in exactly 4 hours. Greens fast and hard. Sand traps and tee boxes in good shape. Fairways a bit thin so had to roll ball a few times to find fairway grass. Excellent and friendly staff (J.R. on carts, starter Jim, plus Ruck & Rene inside). Good value for the money. Will return soon.

This was a very poor course. Very slow no one managing pace of play and the course was just fair (condition). I would not recommend this course at this price. I realize this is a municipal operated course but not worth playing.

Great bang for the price

Great bang for your buck. If I had anything to really complain about, I got there 15-20 mins before the tee time to put and get ready. 10-15 mins before we were supposed to start they had us on the tee. So I mean it is what it is, the greens ran great and fun course. Everyone was super nice. Will play again next time I come to town.

First time golfing here, we started off quick but after a few holes we ran into some walkers which slowed the pace down tremendously.
