About
River Run Golf Links is a municipal course owned by the city of Bradenton. Unlike many others in the area, golfers won't have to worry about hitting homes on this non-residential course. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy but it's also a fair test that is anything but boring. The two nines are referred to as the River Nine, the front, and the Pirate nine. The golf course is mostly straightforward and a pleasure to walk, although there are carts available. Ancient oak trees draped with Spanish moss provide shade and scenery throughout the course. Water has a prominent presence, coming into play on almost every hole. Some of the holes are tight and can be quite challenging but beginners can still approach River Run Golf Links with confidence.

Nice Shape For This Time Of The Year
In spite of recent heavy rains course was in decent shape. Greens in very good condition. Some sand traps still had standing water. Pace of play slow due to cart requirements because of wet conditions. Friendly staff. Good price. Overall pleasant experience.

Solid
Solid course. A few greens and tee boxes need some work, but other than that, a good bang for your buck. Pace of play resulted in 18 holes taking 4 and 1/2 hours. Not too bad. I’d play again.

Course Is In Good Shape (Mid-August)
Teed off mid-morning, mid-week. Greens, fairways and bunkers all in good shape. Recommend this course and look forward to returning.

Just saying this course was in beautiful shape, from Tees to Greens, have played numerous times and the rain has helped I’m sure but for a city course they have done a great job

Fine for a city course
Summer rates are reasonable
Winter rates and pace are horrendous

River Run
I always enjoy this course and yesterday was another gorgeous day. I had a good round for me (80). Greens were a little too slow but consistent & the course fairways and tee areas were in good shape. I look forward to playing again!

Very Enjoyable Experience
Teed off mid-week before 11 AM as a twosome. Had course to ourselves. Finished before 2 PM (three hour round!). Course in good shape. Greens not fast but consistent and well maintained. Sand traps wet due to heavy rains over the past few days. Lee in pro shop and Floyd handling carts & starting were both friendly and helpful. Enjoyed it so much we immediately booked another round here for next week.
