About
River Run Golf Links is a municipal course owned by the city of Bradenton. Unlike many others in the area, golfers won't have to worry about hitting homes on this non-residential course. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy but it's also a fair test that is anything but boring. The two nines are referred to as the River Nine, the front, and the Pirate nine. The golf course is mostly straightforward and a pleasure to walk, although there are carts available. Ancient oak trees draped with Spanish moss provide shade and scenery throughout the course. Water has a prominent presence, coming into play on almost every hole. Some of the holes are tight and can be quite challenging but beginners can still approach River Run Golf Links with confidence.

Great staff
Loved the guys in the cart barn and clubhouse staff sweet as sugar..course was in great shape...greens are looking good...tks
Course is in decent condition, pace of play was horrendous was waiting behind an older group with two kids running around the front 9. There was two walkers that were catching up to us. Cart guy sends out people regardless of tee time. Otherwise, great course for the price.

Course in decent shape. Greens slow but true. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent value for the money. Recommend and look forward to returning soon.

AMAZING
Golf course was AMAZING ! For 15$ the course & greens where nice & beautiful . One of the best courses in the area highly recommended!! You won’t be disappointed
Best Bang For The Buck
We play all the public courses within 20 miles of our home. Without exception, this is the best conditioned course that we play. The greens were a little slow, but in beautiful shape. Being a muni explains the unbelievable price.

Early bird
Fairway grass was longer, ruff very long to the point of cant find ball until your on top of it, greens were terrible. Should gave brought sand bucket and shovel. Greens also had chunks of grass standing up like someone with mower dragged something and tore up the greens. Probably wont go back for awhile.

Golf Now Suggestion
It was not the course's fault but Golf Now should alert players when a course is being aerated. Unfortunately this occurred on Tuesday morning and my tee time was on Tuesday afternoon. As a result, putting was miserable. Ended up taking mostly all 2 putts if we got the first one any where near the hole.

Always A Good Experience
Played a late morning weekend round. Course was very, very wet after several days of heavy rain storms. Conditions required cart paths only. Got rained on during round, however course conditions were as good as could be expected. Greens were slow but in surprisingly good shape. Bunkers were water logged. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Will go back soon and recommend this course. Best value for a round of golf in the Bradenton area.

Excellent course
Played after a very heavy rain, so this beautiful course, in a park-like setting on the banks of the Manatee River, was more than a bit soggy in many places. However, it is in excellent condition: good fairway grass, excellent greens, tee boxes flat and with lots of grass. Layout is of average difficulty, except the front nine has a few narrow fairways that you must drive straight! The group in front of us was slow, partly because carts on paths only that day, but there was a ranger that sped them up on the back nine. It is easily walkable if you would like. I will definitely be back if I'm in the area again!

Great old Florida style course at good price.
1st time playing here in awhile and was very pleased. Inside staff was very nice, starter did a good job. Course was in excellent condition, Greens were great but a little slow. Only paid $20 for a 7:52 am tee time. I would highly recommend River Run
