About
River Run Golf Links is a municipal course owned by the city of Bradenton. Unlike many others in the area, golfers won't have to worry about hitting homes on this non-residential course. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy but it's also a fair test that is anything but boring. The two nines are referred to as the River Nine, the front, and the Pirate nine. The golf course is mostly straightforward and a pleasure to walk, although there are carts available. Ancient oak trees draped with Spanish moss provide shade and scenery throughout the course. Water has a prominent presence, coming into play on almost every hole. Some of the holes are tight and can be quite challenging but beginners can still approach River Run Golf Links with confidence.

Enjoyed Playing this Course
My playing partner and I both enjoyed playing River Run..The Course is in good condition and attractive. Even though the carts do not have GPS, the provision of fairway yardage markers helps make up for no GPS. Staff at the course are friendly and helpful., and the fees are a good value. I look forward to playing the course again.

Fun and good value
Have played the course many times. This time we played in about 4 hours which was great. Usually pretty slow. If you’re looking for a course that’s well manicured this is not it. But the greens fees are the most reasonable in the area and the layout is fun to play. Fairways are sparse but the greens are pretty decent. Compared to Manatee, whose greens fees are a joke this season, this is a bargain! Staff is as friendly as they come.

Always A Good Value
Played a mid-afternoon weekend round. Pace of play was quite slow, but this is the norm in SW Florida this time of year. Conditions were acceptable. Greens rolled true with no bare spots. Some bunkers had raked sand, others looked as if they had not been touched for days. Starter and clubhouse staff were friendly and attentive. Would recommend this course due to it's price and ease of booking. Look forward to coming back again soon.

Overbooked and tip craziness
This course is always overbooked and this a City of Bradenton owned course and City workers are leaving “tip buckets inside and outside all over place, why?
What does our taxes paid for at this City owned course?
I have played at other city, county and state owned courses and never seen this before, wow!!!

enjoyable round
Went as single walker and was joined with another single walker and a couple, all seniors. I enjoyed the course, the pace and the staff. Weather conditions were sunny and a bit windy which helped control the heat. Course conditions were ok, as expected for a municipal course. The track is definitely walkable if you enjoy walking. I would recommend River Run unless you have champagne taste, but then you should probably join a country club.
