Whispering Pines Golf Course

2nd tee time in the morning as a single. The 3 person group let me play thru. Round done in 2hrs 45 mi

First off the cashiers, bag drop people were very nice. We started approximately 1 tee time late , and waited on every shot after that. We made the turn in 2:25 and then immediately waited another 10 minutes.

We looked for a ranger but only grounds crew were riding the course.

We were on the 16th hole and a staff member drove up to us telling us the carts had to be in by 5:15. That gave us approximately 30 minutes.

I told him we would have, and should have been done by this time, if not for the groups in front of us,. Why didn't he tell them to pick up the pace. It was totally ridiculous and while we were in the 18th fairway there were 4 carts up near the green.

We had played the 18th hole in the dark.

Now for the course, the tee boxes are a little uneven and beat up. The fairways were a little thin and lots of twigs, branches and leaves in them, but we played you could improve your lie. Sometimes better to be in the rough, unless it was deep Bermuda.

However, I will say that the greens were surprisingly good, and pretty fast. Many slight undulating, making putting a little tricky. .

Always love to play here. Met some nice people. Was a good day!

Played on a trip to Myrtle beach.

Good value when booking through golf now, challenging but fun for any golfer. Lots of water and fast greens, but pretty flat and open.

We were waiting to play on most holes (slow foursome in front of us). Fair conditions on Fairways and greens in good shape. It was a moderately challenging course for the cost..

Greens are improving. Had to wait for the first tee- big back up.
