Always one of my favorites in myrtle
The course was in great shape as always....greens nice and rolling at a nice pace...there were a couple bad pin placements on the back 9..(#15)...lol
But otherwise great...definitely worth playing
Just enough of a challenge
Fairways were in good shape. Narrow in places with water hazards off the tee requiring a more accurate drive. Greens were small and were starting to experience the cold weather. But overall great course.
Friendly and Enjoyable
We really enjoyed our experience here and nothing really to.fault. staff were friendly and starter very informative. Course was in good condition and layout good. Even the hotdogs were tasty! So all good would visit again.
Ranger needed
Staff scheduled solo players. Then other solo players jumped all around the course looking for open spots. We offered the one some behind us to join us. He didn't. We ultimately joined the twosome in front of us but we still were way over 5 hours. Our cart died. Not very enjoyable
Great Value for the money
Played the course for the first time today. Was very impressed and throughly enjoyed it. Overall course is in excellent condition for the fall. Greens were in good shape and rolled well. Course is challenging but fair. Several tee boxes for golfers of all skill levels. Staff very friendly. Played in just over four hours. No waiting. Would recommend Whispering Pines to anyone. Will definitely be back! Unfortunately played after heavy rain the day before and course had just been over seeded so cart path only but didn’t take away from an enjoyable day.
Very good layout
Very nice layout, open fairways with some challenges but not overly complex which leads to good open shots. Speed of play was awful due to one threesome. Very nice carts but should have some pace of play reminders. Greens wer firm and quick but receptive to long shots.
