Whispering pines

Nice little course that’s well laid out. Some reviews spoke of water on the course in places-I can see where this would happen after some hard rains. The course doesn’t appear to drain well, but after a couple days it’s quite nice. Some bare spots, tee boxes could use a little more attention but the folks here really try to keep on top of conditions, so kudos to them.

I would have no problem coming back here.

Solid Option at Fair Price

Course overall in great shape considering the recent weather in this part of the state. Bunkers holding water in spots and some areas of the course held water but overall course was in good shape. For the money I would say it’s a well worth deal. I’ve played other courses in the area for $30+ more that were in worse condition. Greens were overall in great shape with some bare spots on occasion. Tee boxes patchy in spots but tee boxes are big enough this creates no problems. Fairways were all solid and freshly mowed. Layout of the course is great and I used every club in the bag. Would recommend this course for the price and experience.

Layout was fine.

Played it because it was 2 miles from the hotel. I understand it was after tropical storm Debbie came through but from what I was told it wasn’t much better in peak conditions. Puddles in rough and the front 9 resembled a cow pasture. Greens were in fair condition.

I would recommend going to one of the other close courses and paying a few dollars more.

Im from Canada and it reminded me of end of season golf. I guess I just expected more from a Myrtle Beach course

Very pleasant experience

Really enjoyed this course. It was challenging from the white tees, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming.

All in good shape. A few greens had burnt spots but pin position corrected putts. Traps needed a little attention. Played as a couple and challenging for both of us

Get a round in before your flight home

This course is located directly across the street from the Myrtle Beach airport. My flight was late afternoon - so I scheduled a round after I checked out of the hotel and before my flight. Hit in 18, shower available in clubhouse to freshen up before my flight. They let me stow my luggage at the clubhouse during my round (airline limits bag check to 3 hours before the flight) and when it was time to go - the starter kindly drove me to the end of the drive and I walked across to the airport.

Nice course but long

Staff members were very friendly and helpful. Felt like they really appreciated us being there. Course was in good condition for time of year but played very long.

Wasn't disappointed!

I've been curious about playing this course for years, seeing it every time I drop someone off at or took a flight from the MBSC airport. So this year it became my birthday course of choice, and the experience was very enjoyable. Of course, there's the plane and helicopter noise, but I nixed that out. The course was in great condition. Pace of play was slow but if you're retired, not in a hurry on your bithday (like me), and a pretty seasoned golfer who doesnt waste a lot of time or shots getting from tee to green, who cares? Staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming--a big plus and kudos to them. Their goodwill definitely contributes to my interest in playing there again.

Surprisingly Challenging

This was a fun course to play. Lots of water and mostly on the right side so those who slice will be in the drink :)

Friendly staff. Bag man gave lots of insight before round started.

Some tee boxes were under repair and some greens had bare spots. But overall, it was a nice course for a good price.

Get what you pay .

I got a t time sat. Morning 7:00am. Greens were a little slow for my own liking. Paid about $60 including range balls and booking fee. I’d rate course 7/10. However $60 these days on Saturday morning bumps it up to 8/10. It was a fun course. Also a lot of cold coolers around to beat the heat. I appreciated that considering I paid $125 the other day at Tidewater and they had no water coolers. Only one water fountain per nine at the bathrooms. Water was warm.
