Greens

Overall, it was pleasant playing Whispering Pines. the winds really picked up the last 5-6 holes and the helicopter rides are a continuous item, not that it bothered me. The course itself is in good conditions but the greens need a lot of attention, there were a lot of bald spots, burned out spots and in general, not rolled very well, there were a lot of bumps and, hops, kicking putts off line. If I play there again, I will look into the greens to see if they are any better. The Overall Rating I provided is due to the greens.

Staff was friendly. Course layout was interesting but the greens were awful. Grass was patchy where it existed. No plan to return nor would I recommend b

Great value and fun course.

Greens had some bad spots, but the hole placements eliminated any issues. They held nicely and rolled fairly true and decent. This is a fun, but somewhat tight and technical course. It's definitely a great value for the area though and I'll be playing here again on my next visit!

Bad Greens

Slow paced round with no marshal to speed up play. 9 out of 18 greens had the rot or fungus.

Real Bad Conditions and course ranger

Greens were obisimal. Fairways not much better. The course ranger was rude and accused us of taking too long (as we sat there waiting to tee off because of group ahead of us). Avoid this course

Fairways were excellent, tees and greens a little rough. Greens were very quick, with some burn-out.

No houses anywhere, a plus.
