This course has n houses on it. Lay out is excellent.
The greens were very fair on speed and break. Most greens are elevated though so go down a club going into the green
Bull Doze It
Resident of the Grand Strand for 7 years. Played over 30 courses. THIS COURSE IS THE WORST. Its an embarrassment to take a guest there. Everything ( Booking, Desk Clerk, Bag Drop, Greens, Layout) gets an F. Heard a rumor that it was going to be turned into condos. Good Idea -- Bull Doze it. Horrible, Horrific and Horrendous would be good descriptors. Dont play there to catch a plane. You will be sick all the way home.
What happened to the Pines
This us d to ne a favorite place to play. Since the city turned over the operation to an outside company, I’ll never be back. 20-30 minute waits on just about every hole, left after 12 holes. Get a better company or turn it into condos. The military guys are rolling in their graves to see this happen to what was a hiddn gem .
Good value
First time playing this course and was pleased with the condition only a few weeks after a hurricane. The fairways and bunkers were clean of any debris. The greens rolled true and were in nice condition. I would recommend it and I will return during my next visit to the area.
The staff was very accommodating and drove me out the 1st tee to catch-up to my group due to my late arrival.

Great Course for the Price!
Played here last year and again this year. Keep coming back. Great value, pace of play was excellent. Course was well maintain including sand traps.

Very nice course, extremely friendly staff. Right by the airport but you really didn’t notice
Money well spent
Whispering Pines is not a top course in Myrtle Beach. It is in good condition,1 green with some repair. 'greens rolled well, nice speed. Layout is changeling. Great course for the money. Everyone was exceptionally courteous and pleasent.
Great little course
Didn't get to play a full round because it was late on a Sunday when we got started, but this course is wonderful gem hidden right in the middle of the city. I thought the fairways and greens were in great shape, the course plays well and there's no cheap "gotchas!" out there.
Will definitely play here more often!
