Everything Under Repair
They should feel bad not letting us know everything is under repair and nothing wb fixed until late summer?
Whispering Pines
Course layout is very good however greens weren’t in very good shape.
Ruff greens
Most greens are very thin of grass, where crab grass is more relevant. Not the best condition for smooth putting.
One of our favorites
We play Whispering Pines often when in Myrtle Beach. Greens are not in the best of shape but I understand major work is being done over the summer. Look forward to seeing the completed work next year.
A quirky course. Lots of holes take driver out of your hands. Course knowledge is really important. But it’s fun and challenging. Really close to the airport so could be good for first or last round of the trip.
Too Noisy day we played
Feel there should have been a discount for playing as they were dropping trees during our round. Very noisy with chainsaws and backhoe noise let alone the noise of the trees dropping. There was also a lot of debris around from the trees that hadn’t been cleaned up yet. The course itself is very nice, lots of water, but shouldn’t bother if you’re a good enough player. Close to the airport, so lots of airplanes taking off too, but you know that going in as well.
Nice course.
This can be a really fun course to play, but the pace of play was very slow. Our group was a twosome, and the groups in front were foursomes. They did not seem to have sense of urgency in playing golf, as if a 5 hour round was the normal way to play. Unfortunately, the Marshall that passed by a number of times did not seem to take any steps to change the pace of play.
Overall course is in good condition, greens not as good but it is January. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would play again.

The greens are pretty fast, I'm not used to that. This time of year not a lot of turf on the fairways which makes it a little bit difficult. But all and all the courses is nice and a good price
