Love OV- greens are a little rough
It’s always a blast playing there. Course is fun and good price. Greens are rough and bumpy. Hard to hit any putts
Loved the breeze at Ocean Breeze!
It was a warm day on July 4, 2022, but a nice ocean breeze stayed with us all 18 holes at the Ocean Breeze Golf Club. The layout was very navigable and fun and the ponds large and pretty with nice landscaping. I will be back and next time bring my bathing suit. The Ocean is just a block away!
Ocean View has an ocean breeze!
The Ocean View golf course in Norfolk, VA is right across from the ocean and had a lovely breeze to cool you off in the sun. It was a very pleasant round as a result of that and the course conditions.

fun course, sub par conditions
This course is a regular in our rotation, however it's in the worst shape I've seen in years. The greens are beat up and sandy, some of the bunkers are dirt with grass growing in them, although some are sandy and have improved. The fairways are really thin right now and are hard, but weve been pretty dry lately

Constant “Repairs”
I used to love playing Oceanview, but this whole season their greens are being repaired. 15 out of 18 of them are covered in gouges and sand….aerated way to late in the season (or did it twice for whatever reason), and it just makes putting impossible. Hopefully they’ve got them fixed by next year….there’s a reason this course is one of the cheapest in the area.

Not bad but greens horrible
Not a bad course to play casually on vacation, but the greens were so bad it made it a bit frustrating. There were a few tee boxes that also were essentially pure sand. Has potential though.

Greens
Beware Greens are are in bad shape bumps all over greens ball hop and slows down balls.

Wide open, go low
Wide open layout, some water but not a huge amount. Greens are all aerated right now so putting isn’t great. Some bunkers are good, some are horrible. Overall a decent course for the money.

Old, but still plays
This is a fairly easy course to play. Not a lot of woods or water, but what is there can bite you unexpectedly! Fairways were in good shape. Some of the greens had been cut with a mower that was out of adjustment and had scalp lines in them. One of our foursome landed in a bunker and the pit was as much earth as it was sand, and packed. we told him to consider it a hazard! I used to play this course almost every Sat in a league. First time going back in over 10 years. Honestly, I can find more challenging courses in the area for less $$.

Fog Bowl
We played in foggy conditions as our choice. a memorable day for sure. the course is in good shape but really need to add sand to the bunkers. The price to play s always very good.

Velcro Greens
Course has potential, but needs better maintenance. Greens are like putting on Velcro … not sure the stimpmeter can read that low. Might be better later in the season as greens looked basically healthy.
