Diamondback Golf Course
About
The 18-hole Diamondback Golf Course (previously known as Diamond Back at Woodland Valley Country Club) in Loris, SC is a Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda golf course that opened in 1999. Diamondback Golf Course was designed by Russell Breeden. The greens are Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda and the fairways are bermuda.
This modern Russell Breeden design is surrounded by unspoiled natural wetlands and lowcountry forest. Diamondback Golf Course is the first course on the Grand Strand to offer Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda greens. Strategically placed bunkers and lakes allow for a challenging round of golf that will make you return year after year

Hole #6 Photo submitted by DintheRough17 on 01/29/2017
It has seen better days
The course fairways and tee boxes were in rough shape. Could use some work. pace of play slow. Now drinks cart. No Marshall to speed things up. Over 5 hours to complete.
Hello. We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. We would love to know how we can earn those last two stars next time! Thanks for playing Diamondback Golf Course.
Slow Play
6th hole was backed up and slowed play to a stop. Need to redesign this hole. Really slowed down round. Took 3 hours for 9 holes.
Thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. We value our customer experience, so your review is important to us. We will make note and we hope to see you back at Diamondback Golf Course!
Great value!!
Good conditions made for an enjoyable round of golf.
Don’t be fooled by yardage signs at hole or on scorecard as tees always forward significantly. Range finder is an asset.
Bad pace of play
A threesome was in front of our group that did not know how to play!! 5 and a half hours later we walked off the course!!! n.eeded someone on the course making sure this does not happen
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes.
Your feedback helps us do better. We are looking into this issue and hope to resolve it promptly.
Thank you for visiting Diamondback Golf Course. We hope you'll give us another try in the future.
Tough but fair course.
Played on a nice day. Course was in very good shape. We played in just over 4 hours and had a good day.
Tricky fairways
The use of the ponds and streams are a challenge .
At least for me.. You have to think your way around.
Bunkers are well maintained and plentiful. Once on the green is where the fun starts. This is why I keep coming back. Speed of greens is a good guess. Very fast and true.
This is one of my FAVES. Hope you feel the same.
Fantastic and Frustration. Yep, Golf.
Best Course of the Weekend
We stopped on the way back from Myrtle Beach and played the front 9. It was the best course we played during our weekend golf trip. Great course conditions and a nice layout. On my next visit to the Myrtle Beach area, I would make this a "Must Play" addition.
Pleasant staff
Good value , course was in decent shape. Will come again.
Hidden gem…
Deep in the shadows of farm country lurks a hidden gem of a golf course. Beautiful layout, great shape! Friendly staff. I highly recommend!!!
Nice day for golf
Overall pretty nice course. Tee box are good, fairways are pretty good but off the fairways Bermuda grass will eat your ball. Greens are in good shape but hard so too much roll out on the approach. A couple of bad spots on the cart path. Pace of play can be slow but was a nice day to be on the course enjoying a round.
