Diamondback Golf Course
About
The 18-hole Diamondback Golf Course (previously known as Diamond Back at Woodland Valley Country Club) in Loris, SC is a Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda golf course that opened in 1999. Diamondback Golf Course was designed by Russell Breeden. The greens are Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda and the fairways are bermuda.
This modern Russell Breeden design is surrounded by unspoiled natural wetlands and lowcountry forest. Diamondback Golf Course is the first course on the Grand Strand to offer Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda greens. Strategically placed bunkers and lakes allow for a challenging round of golf that will make you return year after year

Starter was nice gm was a dbag. Sloooooow pace
Course was not in great shape.. gm was rude upon check in, also was crying about a member trying to hit some range balls..
Course is in great shape
Only issue was the slow play. Took 5 1/2 hours for 18 holes. 2-3 groups backed up at a lot of the holes.
Enjoyed the round
We were looking for a course to book a 9 hole round and Diamond Back was a great choice. The course is in great condition and the scenery outstanding. Want to remember this one for our next trip to Myrtle Beach!
Best course we played
Nice course layout with almost each hole ina private setting. Greens were fast and the course was in great condition. The staff was super friendly and the clubhouse and restrooms were clean and orderly. The cart paths were also in good shape. Definitely the nicest course we played in region.
Greath course for the price
Played a lot of golf in area, greens were as good as any I played. Very true and smooth.
Too many players think that they are good and they take way too much time to take a shot. This is one course that needs a starter or course monitor to keep play going on time
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback as we will use your review to better the experience going forward. We hope you give us another try in the near future!
Pace of play ruined round
The greens are in rough shape but the worst part was the pace of play. 5.5 hours to do 18 holes. 2-3 groups in line at every tee box.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Diamondback Golf Course, and we hope to see you again in the future.
Ruff greens
Greens were recently cut and grass was long, definitely added a few strokes to the game. Everything else was as good as it could get, and would play there again in a couple of weeks
Diamondback
Have played this course previously , course was in good shape enjoyed round will come back.
May Day May Day
Really good layout but conditioning reflects the lack of rain. Good variety in par 3 lengths and most holes move either left to right or visa versa. Bunkers are well placed, especially in fairways.
Friendly bag stand and restaurant staff always make it an enjoyable day.

First time playing this course. Thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful wooded surroundings and layout of the course. I enjoyed the peaceful serenity of each hole being separated by woods and water, and hidden gem at a very reasonable price. It is farther inland than I would normally go, but it was well worth the drive. One of the better maintained courses in the NMB area in its price range. I would definitely recommend it and will play it again next time down.
