About
The 18-hole Diamondback Golf Course (previously known as Diamond Back at Woodland Valley Country Club) in Loris, SC is a Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda golf course that opened in 1999. Diamondback Golf Course was designed by Russell Breeden. The greens are Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda and the fairways are bermuda.
This modern Russell Breeden design is surrounded by unspoiled natural wetlands and lowcountry forest. Diamondback Golf Course is the first course on the Grand Strand to offer Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda greens. Strategically placed bunkers and lakes allow for a challenging round of golf that will make you return year after year

Nice course
It had been so long since I played here I didn’t remember much about the course. The course was packed and my playing partners referred to it as a “death march”.The greens were rather slow compared to what I normally play and it too me a while to finally get used to them. The conditions were decent but the fairways could use a little love. Overall a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon. I would recommend the course.
Extremely Wet
Course was very wet, with bunkers being lakes and hard wet sand.. Slow play with craft path only. Lost three tee shots in fairway from drives plugging. Still played the round in four hours. Will play again when dry.
Great place
Have played at least once a year for 4 years. It just keeps getting better. Staff is always happy and glad to see you. Keep up the good work.
Great course and staff
We have a summer home here and play a couple times a year. Tight course. Leave driver at home. Free range balls. Casual dress and friendly staff.
Nice course
The only bad thing was the bunkers they could have used some nice fresh sand other wise the course was really nice I will play there again and would recommend!!

Played this course in the World AM. The rough was up to 5" just off the fairway and the fairways and green collars were very wet. Every ball plugged, if you were lucky, and if not the ball was caked with mud. Everyone in our 4 some lost multiple balls in the rough and had to re tee. The layout is all that bad but the conditions were almost unplayable.
