Diamondback Golf Course
About
The 18-hole Diamondback Golf Course (previously known as Diamond Back at Woodland Valley Country Club) in Loris, SC is a Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda golf course that opened in 1999. Diamondback Golf Course was designed by Russell Breeden. The greens are Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda and the fairways are bermuda.
This modern Russell Breeden design is surrounded by unspoiled natural wetlands and lowcountry forest. Diamondback Golf Course is the first course on the Grand Strand to offer Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda greens. Strategically placed bunkers and lakes allow for a challenging round of golf that will make you return year after year

Good News and Bad News
The good news was the staff was friendly and welcoming. Overall, the course layout wasn't bad and some memorable holes. The greens were bumpy and not cut and/or rolled well and putts weren't true as a result and speed varied with grass thickness. The entrance to the course was poorly marked and GPS was my only salvation for driving right by it. I may not be playing this course much in the future until they improve the course conditions, especially the greens.
Great to play with wife / girlfriend
Beautiful course no houses on the front nine.
Ladies tees are very generous so it was fun for my girlfriend
Long Day
Course was very wet from recent rains so cart path only was in effect. Unfortunately there was a college tournament going on and the 4-some we followed were excruciatingly slow. I understand their round was more serious than ours but when it takes you 5 1/2 hours to play it that is not good for anyone. Course has potential to really be nice.
Hi, thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. We value our customer experience, so your review is important to us. We will make note and we hope to see you back at Diamondback Golf Course!
Pace
There seems to be a culture at the course of groups of 4 not letting singles and doubles play through

Excellent Winter Greens
Really enjoyed my first time to play this course. Loved the layout! Lots of variety with the holes. Fairways in pretty good condition considering the level of rain they’ve had. Really enjoyed the firm and true greens. Will play this course again next time I’m on the Strand.
Very nice course but wet
The course was beautiful, especially the front nine with no homes lining fairways. There had been a lot of rain recently and on the day of play, so the course was soaking wet with balls plugging in a lot of spots. But the layout is great, and I'm looking forward to going back when it's dry.
I love this course, my favorite in the area
Went 3 times this week in my visit from michigan..best value great challenge..
Excellent value. Great challenge
Played course for third time in past week. Visiting from Michigan I love this course. Challenging. Favorite in the area
Nice Course
Course had some challenge and was in great shape. Pace of play was fine but had a 5'some in front of us. We really enjoyed the numerous dog leg layout and the greens were fast and true. Overall this is a great course for the amount paid and we would return.
Diamondback
Very good challengin... course in very good shape..clubhouse and support people nice..I have been here three times. Twice this week..visiting area from Michigan
very challenging course!
Diamondback is a difficult course. Between water and wetlands and sand and tight fairways on a few of the holes, it’s easy to get in trouble. The greens are fairly fast and I had some trouble reading them. All in all a fun round of golf ...
