Diamondback Golf Course
About
The 18-hole Diamondback Golf Course (previously known as Diamond Back at Woodland Valley Country Club) in Loris, SC is a Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda golf course that opened in 1999. Diamondback Golf Course was designed by Russell Breeden. The greens are Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda and the fairways are bermuda.
This modern Russell Breeden design is surrounded by unspoiled natural wetlands and lowcountry forest. Diamondback Golf Course is the first course on the Grand Strand to offer Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda greens. Strategically placed bunkers and lakes allow for a challenging round of golf that will make you return year after year

Golfer Reviews
never again
Played this course in the World AM. The rough was up to 5" just off the fairway and the fairways and green collars were very wet. Every ball plugged, if you were lucky, and if not the ball was caked with mud. Everyone in our 4 some lost multiple balls in the rough and had to re tee. The layout is all that bad but the conditions were almost unplayable.
Good round
Enjoyed the round on a beautiful afternoon. Good conditions and pace of play. Will play again next time I am here.

Nice course
Nice course but expected more for the price. Not a 55-60 dollar course. Best price would be $40 would play again for that price
Great Course, Nice overall layout
Course was nice, unfortunately the rain caused the course to be saturated. Course held up even with the wet conditions.
Good day on. The course
Great weather for playing on a course in great condition. Greens were firm and receipting to good shots. Putting true to your line.
Chris
Course has not had rain in a long while and it was very apparent. Nice layout but not in top shape.
Thank you for taking the time to review us, and for the 3 stars. We're sorry to hear the course may not have been in the best shape on the day of your round. We will continue to look for ways to improve. Thank you for choosing to golf with us, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
Slow pace
Had. a foursome that wouldn’t let a faster playing two play through. Asked to go ahead of them and no response. Many times we were waiting to chip on greens and they disregard our requests to play through and no marshals on the course. Otherwise a great day to play.
Hidden Gem
I took my 4 year old son to play his first round here today. So this course is gonna hold a special memory for the rest of my days. I have to say the course was far beyond my expectations. The conditions were fabulous. Greens rolled very good and the fairways were great. The layout was really fun but it does require knowledge of club choice. Example I teed off with a 6 iron on one of the par 4s. It did play short from the rattlesnake tees. So I played some fun shots over the woods into the fairways. I will put this course on my yearly golf courses to play.
Definitely recommend this course!
Been to Myrtle Beach a dozen times over the years and never played this course until today. Had a great time and would definitely recommend to players of all skill level. Will be back for sure!
Well Worth Playing
Great place to play. Some rough spots around edges of fairways but nothing ugly.
Greens didn't look great to the eye but putted very well and true and were consistent from hole-to-hole.
Signs were posted on holes with distance to where water came into play off the tee.
If you're staying in Myrtle Beach, this course is a ways down Highway 9 but worth it. A good mix of challenging holes with some easy ones.
