About
The 18-hole Diamondback Golf Course (previously known as Diamond Back at Woodland Valley Country Club) in Loris, SC is a Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda golf course that opened in 1999. Diamondback Golf Course was designed by Russell Breeden. The greens are Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda and the fairways are bermuda.
This modern Russell Breeden design is surrounded by unspoiled natural wetlands and lowcountry forest. Diamondback Golf Course is the first course on the Grand Strand to offer Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda greens. Strategically placed bunkers and lakes allow for a challenging round of golf that will make you return year after year

Diamondback Golf Course
Diamondback is an interesting course with several challenging holes. The 90 degree temperature this day added to those challenges. Despite the uncomfortable temps we still enjoyed our round and will certainly return to play this course in the future.
Outstanding Value!
Course was in great shape, staff was friendly, and you even get free range balls to use on their very nice range and chipping/putting green. Layout was interesting in a good way, somewhat challenging but fair. Pretty sure I somehow got the round on GolfNow at half their website price, and it might have been the best value golf I've ever played - and that's not to say it's a value course, because I'd put it up there with some of my favorite tracks I've played in Myrtle Beach. Will absolutely be returning at some point.
Good course for all golfers

Golf Now really messed up. You guys sent me a tee time starting at 2:19. We had a 1:19 booked . When arriving at the course YES we had a 1:19 tee time. THANKS SO MUCH Luckly they got us off. Please review and explain how you did this.

Awesome place.
This is a great track. Greens and t boxes are in fabulous shape. Fairways need fertilzer and time. Love this course.
Tough oourse
Very fun coarse to lay. Lots of sans traps,, water and marshes. If you keep it in the fairways you'll be pleased otherwise watch out.
Such a great golf course
This is not my first review of Diamondback.
I am a snowbird from canada.
Live in Murrels inlet for the winter.
Just short of an hour drive to get here.
Play quite a bit of golf down here in January February & March at the supposed big courses in murrels inlet and around the 501 area.
Let me just tell you . I put Diamondback up there with any course in Myrtle Beach. Denis, Sherry & Patrick are super nice at the Bag drop, snack bar & pro shop.
The course is in excellent condition. No lack of grass in the fairways or on the greens as many of the courses I have played down here. I think one of the reasons I love this course so much is the difficulty. I love hard golf courses. Today is only the 2nd time I have broken 90. Imagine and I absolutely adore this course. Holes # 2 6 7 8 & 10 are just off the charts tough. Diamondback i absolutely love coming to play your course. If you haven't played here before. Do as soon as you can. If you know golf. There is no way you would be disappointed. Not a chance. Diamondback ROCKS
Was Wet When We Played
Nice course. Was cart path only and wet. Overall it was a nice layout with good greens. Enjoyed our round.
Tight Fairways
Course was nice. Greens were very nice. Fairways were tight in places. Overall a good round. It was cool and windy during play.
It's not the Length of the course.
It's the Width of it. Bring your straight swing. It's Not a Bombers course. Placement is a premium.
Layout is tricky. A Lot of hidden trouble.
Greens roll quick and true.
Even though my this course eats my Lunch every round, I respect what it makes me do and I keep coming back. When I accomplish a good hole here, I know I had earned it.

Course was in good shape. Greens were fast. Even after a 45 minute frost delay, we teed off on time. Pace was slow due to 2 foursomes with no etiquette. A ranger should have moved them along.
Hidden gem
Cart path only so course was sparse with golfers. Me and a buddy played slow and didn’t see a soul until the 5th hole. Considering the rain and snow course was in great condition. Greens were very fast . Great round!
