Golfer Reviews
Difficult layout. Great conditions
Greens were perfect. Tees and fairways pretty good. Have to be able to shape your ball flight to score well. Also have to control your distances much more so then on regular course. Good example is a par 3, 165 yards. Green is maybe 35 yards wide by 20 yards deep. water left and right, out of bound behind, exposed to full wind force. If the wind is blowing this is a much harder shot then expected.
if you like more of a challenge this is great place. The clubhouse isn't much to speak of nor are the on course restrooms. No water jugs on course.
Staff
Staff was very nice, Course was in good shape, greens were good, very quiet.
Mardoo Review
Course was in great shape. Greens rolled true and fairly fast compared to others in the M B area. It's out of all the traffic congestion but close enough.
Sneaky tough.
For me it's a tricky layout with great greens.
Funstrating.
Muggy day, beautiful course
The wife and I played this course for the first time. The area had gotten a decent amount of rain leading up to our round. When we arrived the driving range was closed to the rain. Gentleman behind the desk was short acting with the wife and food choices were minimal. When I went to talk to the gentleman about our cart he said he didn’t know what cart we’d use yet because we were 30 minutes early to our tee time and he wouldn’t know until about 15 minutes til. So about 15 til our tee time he called me over and showed me the cart and he loaded our bags.
The course itself was really nice, it was cart path only which sucks, but totally understandable because the fairways were pretty soggy. But fairways were nice, greens rolled great and it was a challenging layout. Back 9 is definitely more tight and you have to pick your spots and course knowledge would be a huge help.
Overall we enjoyed the course and definitely would play it again.
cart path day
The over night rainfall made it a cart path only day, due to some wet fairways. The greens were in great shape, not so much bunkers, puddles in quite a few.
The slow group infront allowed our group to play through after maybe seven, and with nothing in front it was a three and a half hour round
The starter was super rude. They claimed range balls were included and we had to pay. The greens were terrible. Fairways were bare ways.
Nice Course
Course was in great shape and has a nice layout. Pace of play was good, no waiting. Staff very friendly. We will definitely play here again.
Fast Greens!
Be ready for a challenging and exciting course. I’ll definitely play it again!
Hidden gem
When I saw the course rate I didn’t expect it to be that nice. I was wrong!
Best greens Ive played in Brunswick area this spring. Great layout too, challenging yet score able.
Food and drink prices are good too.
I will definitely be going back. . . .
You Get What You Pay For
I got a good price on Golfnow. It was very affordable for the area. The staff was friendly, the driving range was nice, and the bar looked decent. The course was really not in good condition. The greens did not roll true and were inconsistent. The rough and parts of the fairway were lumpy, tufts of grass between hardpan. The bunkers were the worst of it. Thick, hard sand that looked like it was pulled from a beach. No one seemed to rake, and some bunkers didn’t even have rakes. If you don’t care about these things and just want to hack, are a beginner, and just want a good price then you might not mind. But there are many much better courses in the area.
