Great course great value
The only thing bad was the sand taps. They were very hard packed like hitting off hard packed dir
A great short executive course.
The wife and I were house sitting in Vegas and were looking for a good short course to play. I got a hotdeal on GolfNow which sent us to Durango Hills. She is a newby to the game so this was perfect for her and I enjoyed it as well. She got her first birdie and some other very nice shots. When she's happy I'm happy. The course is compact but laid out nicley. It did get bunched up a bit, especially on the three par 4 holes but everyone stayed friendly.
good value
friendly staff, well maintained, fun course and the price is right!!!
The greens on the back nine were in poor shape
I enjoyed the day even though the greens were a bit rough. My ball hoped and skipped like I was putting on a bed of pebbles. Over all we had fun playing with my brother I hadn't connected with in 30 years.
Excellent Course/Excellent Value
Durango Hills is a very nice short course with wonderful views of the western mountains. The greens and fairways are well maintained, though we as golfers could do a better job of repairing our divots on the greens. There are a few holes where water comes into play, but overall this course is excellent for those who want to get out and play a round without breaking the bank.
I would like to see some of the hole identification signs replaced. At least at least half a dozen are completely missing. Also, there are no distance markers that I noticed.
durango hills golf club
good golf course excellent for tuning up short game. has a few more par 4's than normal executive courses
Nice Executive Course
A great course if you don't have a lot of time and want a challenge! The fairways are plush and the greens roll true.
Due for overseeding
The course was dried out when we played, and I understand it was due to be closed for overseeding the next week. The round was very quick, and the price we got was great, but it was a too simple course I think, with little variation or challenge. For same price I thought Eagle Crest in Summerlin was much nicer.
Long Par 3 course with fast rate of play
I played as a single twice. Almost no one there which is a shame. Finished in an hour with 2 groups letting me through.
Great for a par 3 course. Lets you use your longer irons. 4 short par 4's let you pull out your driver and blast away. Greens are just average condition.
course is very forgiving
Since I am a novice golfer I found this course very forgiving of errant shots. I also enjoyed the fact that some of the greens had nice undulations and were not all flat. The staff was great.
Started on back 9 with another player....
When I got to the front I was a single. Two guys waiting to tee off would not let me join them or play thru. I turned around and played the back 9 again. Second time in 8 yrs playing that I ran into nasty players....too bad....course is in great shape.
Great Course
Nice course to play a nice quick round on, hole 1 and 18 will get cha if you dont pay attention
DURANGO HILLS IS FUN
This is a par 60 course with only 4 par 4 holes. So, if you want to hit your driver a lot then you won't be happy. But I had a great time. It took only 2 1/2 hours to play and in 114 degree heat it was all I could handle. The course was in good shape except for the bunkers which were like hardpan. It was fun and different than my regular golf experience.
super fast play
The fairways where fine. the staff very friendly, the course needed work. the greens were very bad. Even at $15 a round i felt it was no deal.
