Pleasantly surprised!
This executive short course was a pleasant surprise.
Course was well maintained some attention except for the bunkers.Bunkers were packed sand needing.
Par fours were mixed in just enough to make this course interesting.
Would definitely play here again!
fun and a great value
A fun 18 holes on a budget, the course was in great shape and the greens deceptively quick. I breezed around the course in about two hours and the staff treated we well. I recommend this course to anyone.
Lots of bunnies
Nice short course, needs a lil tlc. Like the rabbits
good par 3 course
good little par 58 trac. greens a little fuzzy, slow.but good place to work on your iron game.11/27/2013
Short game course
This is a nice par 3 course with three par 4's that can help you work on your short game and/or to have a nice round of golf with your significant other...Greens were slow as the course was seeded a few weeks ago...
Great course.
Well manicured greens. Sand bunkers need to be stirred around.
This course has beautiful views of Red Rock Canyon area.
The greens at this course are in great shape right now. A good course to work on iron play.
No Marshall, greens very poor, very bad experience
Without going into the details that seems to get me removed from commenting I just want to say we spent most of our 4 hours plus on the first nine because of the playing conditions. Very overcrowded twilight $109 my worst golf experience in several years. Tried to connect with person in charge in the pro shop and called gen mgr and left message no response several days later.
I will have to say the gal that met us call her the outside greeter very nice gal and also cart gal very nice. Gave them tips as not their fault.
A great short executive course.
The wife and I were house sitting in Vegas and were looking for a good short course to play. I got a hotdeal on GolfNow which sent us to Durango Hills. She is a newby to the game so this was perfect for her and I enjoyed it as well. She got her first birdie and some other very nice shots. When she's happy I'm happy. The course is compact but laid out nicley. It did get bunched up a bit, especially on the three par 4 holes but everyone stayed friendly.
good value
friendly staff, well maintained, fun course and the price is right!!!
The greens on the back nine were in poor shape
I enjoyed the day even though the greens were a bit rough. My ball hoped and skipped like I was putting on a bed of pebbles. Over all we had fun playing with my brother I hadn't connected with in 30 years.
Excellent Course/Excellent Value
Durango Hills is a very nice short course with wonderful views of the western mountains. The greens and fairways are well maintained, though we as golfers could do a better job of repairing our divots on the greens. There are a few holes where water comes into play, but overall this course is excellent for those who want to get out and play a round without breaking the bank.
I would like to see some of the hole identification signs replaced. At least at least half a dozen are completely missing. Also, there are no distance markers that I noticed.
Due for overseeding
The course was dried out when we played, and I understand it was due to be closed for overseeding the next week. The round was very quick, and the price we got was great, but it was a too simple course I think, with little variation or challenge. For same price I thought Eagle Crest in Summerlin was much nicer.
Long Par 3 course with fast rate of play
I played as a single twice. Almost no one there which is a shame. Finished in an hour with 2 groups letting me through.
Great for a par 3 course. Lets you use your longer irons. 4 short par 4's let you pull out your driver and blast away. Greens are just average condition.
course is very forgiving
Since I am a novice golfer I found this course very forgiving of errant shots. I also enjoyed the fact that some of the greens had nice undulations and were not all flat. The staff was great.
Started on back 9 with another player....
When I got to the front I was a single. Two guys waiting to tee off would not let me join them or play thru. I turned around and played the back 9 again. Second time in 8 yrs playing that I ran into nasty players....too bad....course is in great shape.
