Gripping it and ripping it may be in vogue, but course architect team Brian Curley and Lee Schmidt are not going to let that be the extend of your strategy at Siena Golf Club.

This Las Vegas course is about shot-making more than bombing away. Siena's 97 pot bunkers are arranged to force frequent strategic decisions. Sometimes discretion is the better part of scorecard valor at Siena.

Hooking the ball every which way is paid for dearly at Siena. It's best to go with the clubs you can hit reasonably straight and give up a little distance.

Views of the surrounding mountains are complemented by six different water bodies, including Lake Siena. You'll be strategizing in some striking scenery.

"I don't think you'll come away impressed with this course," marketing director Mick Toscano said. "I think you'll come away awestruck."

Waiting for carts-A big no no

Pro shop was very friendly and very informative.

Very unprofessional to have to wait almost an hour for a cart before tee time. Driving range was all worn out like it had not been moved in a week.

The restaurant was the best though for food and service. Highly recommend the cream of chicken vegetable soup.

There were some pretty holes on the course though. The course was overbooked and with the wait on almost every hole, it was well over a 5 hour round with no marshal to be found. .

Would consider coming back in the summer.

Very nice setting, greens and tee boxes were is good condition. Fairway was OK. Staff was friendly but they had issues getting carts so we waiting about 20 minutes past our tee time for a clean cart.

Layout is suitable for all with minimal hazards but houses are in play so be careful....

5+ hour Round

Course is nice, MGMT just packs the course with people. 90% of the round we were waiting on 2 groups on the same hole. By far the longest round I’ve played in Las Vegas.

Food Quality at the restaurant is below average. Reminds me of a middle school concession stand with Strip prices..

That being said everyone is very friendly, just the quality and planning lacks here at this course.

Poor conditions and rude pro

Brought a group of 12 from Oklahoma. Got rained out after 7 holes. Pro refused to give us a 9 hole rain check. What good does that do for out of tow nets. Pro was very in- professional.

Course was not in good condition and has duck poop everywhere. Don’t waste your money on this course.
