Siena Golf Course

Since the Covid shutdown, many courses are light on maintenance but Siena is doing well. No large bare patches in the fairway, greens are well maintained and predictable, bunkers have sand and are weed free. Price is very competitive with other courses for a mid-day round on a hot day. Keep in mind this course is challenging and an early morning round on a not-so-hot day tends to be quite slow.

Tee Time: July 16 @ 6:02 am

The staff is a reflection of the course management and the overall experience for golfers.

- Our foursome showed up on time, ready to hit balls prior to our tee time

- The starter asked for a favor and go ahead (without warmup) because the group ahead of us hadn't showed up yet. We agreed

- The twosome ahead of us was long gone when we got to the first tee

- Marshall came around 3rd hole and told us we were already 1.5 holes behind. We tried to explain the situation and that it wasn't our tee time and were just trying to help. Our group was easily playing on pace

- Marshall came AGAIN a few holes later and again said we were 1.5 holes behind in a smug manner. We got quite upset and re-iterated that we were on pace, noone was behind us and we played early to help the course! He just started and kept looking at us with a smug smile and acted like he was on a power trip and trying to be 'nice' to us.

- This was total BS. As a note, I am member of TPC and have never seen a marshall behave like this. I am also well aware of keeping a proper pace of play.

- At the turn, we talked to the starter about the situation. He acknowledged that we played the front 9 ahead of pace.

- Not sure if he was 'talked to' but he came back later again and tried to apologize that he didn't intend to upset us. Again that was total BS. All he had to do was talk to the starter on his radio in the beginning to confirm the situation and our pace of play.

- Also funny that we NEVER saw the group behind us the entire round except for 1 hole!

PS: As far as conditions, the greens are filled with unfixed ball marks. Old holes aren't even patched correctly - they are all dark browned out holes on the greens.

What a great experiences.. got my cart from a couple friendly knowledgeable guys, than checked in with a hello from the pro shop. Drove to the driving range to hit the free unlimited balls that came with the round. The starter explained a lot about where to start and about the course and condition, and where a couple holes had some landing areas to watch out for. Everybody was super nice and that started my round great. Course is in great condition and the greens were rolling very smooth and great pace. I definitely will be playing this course many more times before I head back home from vacation.

Enjoyed my round of golf. Course are well maintained and they have an honest and friendly staff. I forgot my wallet and they called me to let me know i left them in my cart. They have some honest employees. Thanks to them i got my important documents.

Plush course, great staff, great restaurant and snack shop

Todd is not pleasant to residents and golf members. Lighten up Todd and start being a GM that visits the course and asking if he could do anything to the players.

Siena is a challenging, interesting, well groomed golf course. the course was in very good shape and the greens ran very true. there is a lot of variety in the holes that make them reasonably difficult but not over whelming. Unlike some courses in Las Vegas it was not "tricked up" but was a fair and true test.

1st time playing Siena and was very impressed. The course is well designed and offers a good fair challenge to all golfers.. Conditions were very good…fairways were nice and greens rolled true. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly..

Was crowded for a Monday, so pace was about 4 hrs 20 minutes…a little slow..

Overall I really enjoyed this course and will definitely play it again when I visit.

Course is in great shape, majority of the staff you’ll interact with are top notch. 5 out of 7 that I dealt with that day were pleasant. The others were maybe a little stressed. There is a golf cart situation currently at this club, which can hinder your normal pre game routines. They are short of carts, the Range is not within realistic walking conditions because Arroyo players use the backside and Country Club has access to the front which is close for them as it should be. However, not this round, but there has been instances where they have driven me out to the range, left me there for longer than expected only to be picked up late and now starting my tee time late. Could have been avoided if they had enough staff and carts available. It’s something they are currently working on and trying to fix. Overall, the course is looking great, rough is where it should be, nice and thick, majority of the bunkers are playable and not dried out which can be a problem with the Vegas heat and wind. I recommend to play this course and prepare to warm up ahead of time elsewhere though because you never know the range and cart situation.

Great course but, slow play on the back nine made it hard to enjoy the last 7 holes. Will play there again but not on the weekend. Guy in the pro shop could be a bit friendlier and more helpful with questions about the course. I asked him what the greens where rolling and he looked at me like I was crazy, he said he had no idea. Need a marshal on the course to keep pace of play moving. 1 hole had 3 foursomes at the tee.

Pleasant course, wide open fairways nestled amongst modest homes. A few pretty holes with scenic backdrop. Fairway bunkers were awful- no sand just gravel base
