Legacy Golf Club sits on 28 acres of Dwight B. Heard's turn-of-the-20th-century ranch, home to 1902 silos that decorate the 18th fairway - once the tallest manmade things in Maricopa County. More history is on the first tee, in the Sierra Vista House which counts among its early-1900s visitors Theodore Roosevelt and Pancho Villa.

Gary Panks designed the golf course at the Legacy Golf Club, giving it lush fairways, strategic hazards and manicured greens to test all golfers. Native flora grows from the landscape, and the club's elevation offers a vista of Camelback Mountain, Squaw Peak and the skyline of Phoenix.

Even the the temperature rose to over 106 degrees, the course excellent care of me with cooling towels and the drink cart. I love staying at the Legacy and getting in a round of golf or two!

Ranger said multiple times that the foursome in front of us was 2 holes ahead and each time we got to our next tee box and they were in the fairway or close to the green of our hole. Not sure what his problem is but should learn to be a little nicer to the golfers that pay his wages.

Fast Greens

Course could have used a good watering. Fairways were thin in some spots. Greens rolled true. I would definitely play this again . 18th hole is an uphill beast.
