About
Legacy Golf Club sits on 28 acres of Dwight B. Heard's turn-of-the-20th-century ranch, home to 1902 silos that decorate the 18th fairway - once the tallest manmade things in Maricopa County. More history is on the first tee, in the Sierra Vista House which counts among its early-1900s visitors Theodore Roosevelt and Pancho Villa.
Gary Panks designed the golf course at the Legacy Golf Club, giving it lush fairways, strategic hazards and manicured greens to test all golfers. Native flora grows from the landscape, and the club's elevation offers a vista of Camelback Mountain, Squaw Peak and the skyline of Phoenix.

Play this course!
I play a lot of golf- although not much in AZ. I’ve never played a better course for the price. The course is fun, challenging, and pristine and it was only $40 for 9 holes and a cart! Amazing value and the staff was more than friendly. I’ll be back next time I’m in AZ for sure.
Great conditions
Had a great day with excellent conditions. The fairways were in great shape and greens were set up with perfect speed and also in excellent shape. Highly recommend especially with the prices of comparable courses.
Excellent all around golf experience.
Everything was wonderful from the staff to the condition of the course. It was cart path only due to over-seeding so we had to do little walking back and forth. The only thing I would say that could be improved is if the forward tee boxes were shorter. The forward tees are 5,500 yards and they actually play longer because of the elevated greens and soft fairways. That is a challenge for shorter hitters. Otherwise, great.
Great Location!
Loved the course but the pace was slow. Had a 1:00pm tee time, finished at 5:50, played last 2 holes almost in the dark.
Nice golf course
Surprisingly good pace of play in view cart path only . Greens were firm and true compared to other courses we have played in the valley .
Beautiful course
This course just came out of overseed, so it was cart path only, which slowed the pace of play a little bit. However, the course was in great condition and the greens rolled smoothly. The price was a little high for the cart conditions, but not bad for this time of year in AZ.
Ouch. Cartpath only
It was cartpath only. A bit much for me. But the fairways were wide and long. Greens fast. Staff friendly and helpful. Going to play again. Carts off the path.
It's a great course.
The Legacy never disappoints!
Legacy is a challenging course for a 60+ woman, as the yardage is 5471 from the forward tees, but I try to leave my ego with the starter and just enjoy this beautiful and interesting track. With a discount booking through TeeOff, it made it an even more enjoyable round.
I enjoyed the course very much but the sandtraps were dirty. The traps were the only thing I disliked.
Cart path only
Slow due to cart path only and groups of juniors and their coaches in front of us.

Nice resort type golf course. Well managed with challenging layout.

Nice course, good layout and good condition given the time of year. I would like to play again once overseeing process is complete.
