About
Legacy Golf Club sits on 28 acres of Dwight B. Heard's turn-of-the-20th-century ranch, home to 1902 silos that decorate the 18th fairway - once the tallest manmade things in Maricopa County. More history is on the first tee, in the Sierra Vista House which counts among its early-1900s visitors Theodore Roosevelt and Pancho Villa.
Gary Panks designed the golf course at the Legacy Golf Club, giving it lush fairways, strategic hazards and manicured greens to test all golfers. Native flora grows from the landscape, and the club's elevation offers a vista of Camelback Mountain, Squaw Peak and the skyline of Phoenix.

Disappointing
I have heard and read good things about this course , but here is my observation as a first time player . First , we had cart issues from the start , we called and emailed the staff and even asked the cart girl to call for assistance; neatly 45 mins later someone came out to help with the cart . Second , no sand in the bunkers , third , the greens were covered in sand , some much that you could not tell if there was and grass under the sand , forth , although most of the fairways were in good shape , there was still large bare areas . The course overall was very unkept . I have read the reviews , and frankly I am not sure who would rate this course a 5 star . Very disappointed

Fun course
Nice feats noticed the course head pro and some of the associates there except the bar staff is rather unfriendly. Not sure why but this has been consistent and I would never waste the money if I didn’t go on a not sale day

First time
This was my 1st round at Legacy. Course was in great shape. A couple of greens was a little shy on grass. But with this heat I thought the course was in wonderful condition. I will definitely play again if ever in the Phoenix area.

Awesomeness
From bag drop to putting out on 18 everything was outstanding. Pro shop, starter, cart woman all friendly.
Fairways, greens, tee boxes, and even green side bunkers excellent. Joined another solo player on first tee and we didn’t wait to hit until the 18th tee…. Pace of play in 110 degree heat +++++All this for 14$ . Best experience this summer and it’s not even close.

Course wet from early morning monsoon, could have used more sand to fill divots, minimal complaint, excellent value, excellent service staff
