About
Legacy Golf Club sits on 28 acres of Dwight B. Heard's turn-of-the-20th-century ranch, home to 1902 silos that decorate the 18th fairway - once the tallest manmade things in Maricopa County. More history is on the first tee, in the Sierra Vista House which counts among its early-1900s visitors Theodore Roosevelt and Pancho Villa.
Gary Panks designed the golf course at the Legacy Golf Club, giving it lush fairways, strategic hazards and manicured greens to test all golfers. Native flora grows from the landscape, and the club's elevation offers a vista of Camelback Mountain, Squaw Peak and the skyline of Phoenix.

Wow!
Was in town for a day and I’m kind blown. Best course I’ve ever played at, staff, greens, fairways, even the carts were all perfect. What a experience, would highly recommend to anyone. Pace was great too.
Legacy
I played 4 August 2023 and I had a delightful experience. Pace of play was better than at most places, we finished in under 4 hours which in this day in age is almost unheard of. The course is in excellent condition, almost lush conditions. The staff is excellent, the food at the restaurant was superb and although I didn't order from the on course beverage cart I saw the cart 3 or 4 times. The experience was made even better by my 3 playing partners. Very fine players who exhibited excellent course etiquette, a quality sorely lacking among many.

Are we sure it’s August?
I have played this course a few times over the last couple of years. It was in fantastic shape yesterday!! Other than the heat, I would have never know by the condition of the course that it was early August!! Kudos to the staff. They were friendly as always, and I’ll probably play there next week!! Nice work everyone!!

Really Liked the Course
Though it was 115 degrees out, I was able to really focus on point to point golf and shot my best round. The greens were slow because they just sanded, but it was great to make par or better.

Course in good shape for summer
For it being so hot, the course was in good shape. The golf carts are top notch. Pricing is very reasonable and I think a great deal. Would highly recommend.

Enjoyable round
Played here on a Sunday. Tee time was 11, but the starter sent me out with one other single. There was a foursome in front of us that played fairly quickly. The course itself was in great shape for late July with all the heat we have had this summer. Fairways were green, decent sand in most of the traps. Only one or two greens on the course with some bare spots. The staff from the pro shop to golf cart attendants were really nice and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Challenging but not too tough
Nice kept course for hot weather. Some of the tee boxes were like putting greens, not too wet not too dry fairways. It was hot and rags to toss in the cooler would be a bonus along with more frequent water stations. Fun day on a nice course.

Good course
I love this course, great layout, greens are usually best in the valley but they had overseeded, still not bad though

Save your money…greens are not good
Played here Tuesday …no forewarning about the greens have just been punched. Super bumpy couldn’t make a 3 foot putt without hitting any bumps I would give it a couple weeks before playing it.. fairways We’re OK definitely would not have played it knowing the greens had just been punched.
