North Shore Golf Course
About
The 18-hole North Shore Golf Club in Orlando, Florida is a semi-private golf course that opened in 2001. The course slides around lakes and wetlands, and then detours through a grove of large ancient oak trees before re-emerging into the clear at the finish. It has two distinct nines converging to form one remarkable 18-hole layout. Begin your round on the Modern nine, winding through native wetlands and Florida's natural topography. The Classic nine is carved through a grove of 100-year old oak trees, creating an enjoyably unique setting for your finishing holes. North Shore Golf Club is located less than 10 minutes from Orlando International Airport and offers a complete practice facility and world-class instruction.

#13 fairway, long and wide. Ignore the brown grass in the foreground - the fairways are lush enough to hit fairway woods on the par 5s with ease. Photo submitted by Buckleahy on 02/23/2013

Visiting Golfer
Course was very green and plush for winter conditions. Course layout and straight forwardness made this course very easy to par. Would definitely play it again but would move back a tee set.
Great layout
The front 9 is open and the back is tied a lot of trees
Greens are hurting
This was the worst the greens have been since I've been playing NS. Many depressions and gouges all over the greens, and some greens have large areas around the edges that have been resodded that you simply can't play from. The rest of the course is in great shape, though, but the greens need a lot of work. NS doesn't offer a replay rate. Apparently the GolfNow rate is the best you can get. It was actually cheaper for us to play a second round at Rio Pinar than a replay here, and the greens were much faster and smoother there, but the fairways/rough weren't as nice. Everyone was friendly, but the grill was a little wonky. I'm not sure if they were training the girl working the register, but she wrote down our order (didn't punch it into the register), took it to the lady making the food who had to rewrite it down. Hence some food was messed up, but it was tasty. We paid later because they didn't ring it up right away.
Greens were not up to snuff
Played here many times in the past. Always enjoyed it. Today, was different from the condition of their greens. Slow, bumpy, still had slits showing from aeration.
It’s a shame because I like the layout of the course and the staff is friendly. Just more of a “did I full greens feed for this?” We cancelled the two tee times that we had upcoming due to this. Played Eagle Creek today. It was night and day with the condition of the greens. However, pace of play was HORRID!
A Great Course but under repair for now
I've played this course 6 times over the past month. Usually its a steal with great conditions and affordable rate. A few of the greens are under repairs with new sod being laid down so the work is being done but will take a few weeks to take affect. Greens were punched which would have been nice to know in advance and they were rolling much slower than usually so tee to green course was good but around the greens made it for a much different experience. Give it a month and the course will be a must visit
One Of My Faborites
North Shore is one of my favorite courses but this time of year is a little pricey
I was first off as a single so flew around the course. The course was in great condition apart from some of the greens. Not sure what’s happened but they were very patchy (worst I have seen them). On the plus side they had maintenance crews out repairing the greens with new sod etc If I was paying full price I would have been a little disappointed
Try It
Not bad just a little far out from where we were staying. Something to go to at least once.
Great Course
The course was in good condition and the pace of play was amazing. Very friendly staff.
A hidden gem!
This course was such a pleasant surprise! We are are about 50-60 minutes away yet needed to play close to Orlando. Loved the personality of each home, fairways were beautiful, greens were being worked on but they did not affect play. Not too many frills but a solid, solid course! We will be back!
Greens in rough shape
Greens are in very rough shape and par 3 tee boxes are in need of some tender loving care. Would recommend the club to reduce the greenfees until issues are fixed.
