Brooksville Country Club offers a uniquely scenic experience with a rolling landscape covered with live oaks and remnants of the abandoned limestone mine still present throughout. The surroundings are unlike any other golf courses in central Florida, which has made it popular amongst both locals and visitors. Besides the beautiful scenery, the terrain provides dramatic elevation changes that make each hole unique. The traditional layout features contoured, rolling fairways and four memorable holes that play along and through a century-old quarry. The golf course starts out gently but becomes progressively more challenging as you head towards the back nine, which was designed by Bobby Weed. It is a layout that demands precision and rewards skillful shotmaking. In addition to the unique setting and challenging design, Brooksville Country Club also boasts immaculately conditioned fairways and greens.

Fairways do not exist at this golf course. It’s one big cab cow pastor I guess they have nobody to cut the grass.

Fun, Challenging and Dry

I really enjoyed playing the Brooksville country club golf course with friends. The course was very challenging and we had a great time.. the fairways were a little rough. The rough was deep and the greens were dry and slow, but it’s understandable for this time of year in Florida and is still a great value for the money.

Horrible Course!!!

Cow pasture!!!! This used to be a nice, clean, fun course. New owners have let it go. All of it!!! Cart paths, tee boxes, fairways, greens... all horrible condition. Balls hit in the middle of the fairway ate hard to find. Weeds and tall grass. Just horrible. Not worthy of 1 star. Don't pay to play this course.

HORRIBLE!!! COW PASTURE!!!

This course is horrible. Used to be good, clean, vfun, maintained course. Since changing ownership its turned into a cow pasture. Just absolutely terrible.nevery hole!!! Tall grass, weeds, bare spots... all around terrible. Hit your ball in the "fairway" and it's hard to find. Don't play this course.

Wasn’t even worth the 35$

Drove 45 mins to the course to celebrate my friends birthday with his son who was visiting from out of town. We decided to make this drive vs going to courses that are within 10 minutes of us because this course usually has great views, conditions are usually great and I have never had issues with staff.

Well yesterday was a different story. Off the get go the pro shop attendant was rude and sarcastic about it being my friends birthday.

The course conditions were absolutely abysmal, 2 yards off the fairway and grass was 7 - 8 inches long. Apparently they don’t have a mower??? You couldn’t tell the greens from sand traps and the fairways were garbage and littered with weeds and sand dead spots. Beyond that, the pace of play was horrid, it was a 5 hour round in 98° heat. Needless to say, we won’t ever be going back and it’s unfortunate because I know others have been making the drive out there just to be disappointed.

Four outstanding holes with great elevation.

Fun course to play. The rough is way to high, they must cut it better. Looking for balls often. Need to give this course some tlc. Not hard, just mow the high grass and weeds and straighten out the papers along cart trails.. Will be back soon. Best 4 holes around with high elevations.

Course has gone downhill

We played 18 on 7/17/2025 and every hole was so disappointing!

The condition of the course was horrible!

They have surely let this course go, you can see how it has not been maintained.

The grass on the sides of the fairway are as tall as my knees. Good luck finding your ball in this miniature jungle. Greens were also in bad shape, lots of holes and sand.

Such a shame, the course was in decent shape just a few months ago and we enjoyed playing here, especially the ravines.

We will not return until conditions improve SIGNIFICANTLY!

Staff is the best thing about it

We played on a Saturday as a group of three and it took 5 1/2 hours to finish 18 holes. Pace of play was excruciating. Course was in awful condition, giant globs of weeds in the fairway, uneven, inconsistent greens, and the rough was 2’ high. The staff in the pro shop were Incredibly sweet and kind, but they’re by far the best part about this course. The layout is fun and I’ve played when it’s in good condition and had a blast. After this trip though, we will be waiting a long while to return.

Have played this courses two dozen times or more over the past 5 years. This was the worst shape I have ever seen this course. Fairways were unmowed with different types of grass growing wildly making it hard to find your ball. Greens were sandy in spots again with different grasses growing on them, making putting difficult. Course needs a lot of work before I come back.

Brooksville Golf & Country Club

Fantastic course for the price. The front played like a traditional Florida style course but the back nine felt like a completely different experience. Elevated tee boxes into lush ravines , cliff ledges and water lurking into protected greens.

Great layout

Though this course has a great layout, the condition was not that great. The greens really need some work, but I did enjoy playing here. Hopefully they’ll work on those greens.

Rough

If get a little of the fairway you can't even find a bright color ball. If don't hit the fairway every time bring lots of ball or find someone else ball.

No longer great

The last time I played this course two years ago, it was a pleasant surprise. This time around, I saw the worst-condition golf course I've ever played. Golf Now should force the course to announce if the conditions are below good. I don't expect perfect, or amazing, but I do expect fairways to be cut and for at least there to be grass on 75% of the greens. This place needs some major help. A new superintendent and a few million in restoration. I will say the staff were as good as they come. Kind people working with what they've got.
