Brooksville Country Club

We used to play Brooksville County Club every week for years and it was in pristine conditions from tee to green on all golf holes. We stopped playing the club 2 years ago because we wanted to play other clubs in Florida. So after 2 years away we decided to play Brooksville but much to our surprise the course looked like a completely different course! The tee boxes and fairways were in distress full of weeds and many bare spots. At least half of the greens were heavily damaged by fungus and other issues. The layout is spectacular but the the course conditions were extremely disturbing almost like it was done on purpose, what a shame!

Have played here plenty of times over the last 10 years. The layout is great but my goodness has this place taken a wrong turn condition wise. Anyone who left a review saying this course is playable right now is insane. You would be better off saving the money and putting into a glass cup on your carpet. If it ever comes back around the layout and staff are awesome but the conditions right now are big time bad. Someone needs to purchase this property and dump some money into it because it could be special, but for now play elsewhere.

Beautiful golf course that is fun for all skill levels, and a very friendly staff. I play this course Atlanta once a week

I’ve been playing here for years haven’t played in a while came back with a buddy of mine. The fairways never really changed. Could use some seed in some spots for sure, but the greens were an absolute minefield. The best green was on 16 and still had a few rough patches. Probably just came on a bad week. Look like they were in a process of seeding their greens if you want to come here, take a look at the reviews just to make sure that the greens are in better condition. Other than that love the course love the layout. It’s a gem in Brooksville .

The course conditions are kinda rough, lots of dirt patches in the fairways, and greens were very patchy with weeds. The whole course needs an over seeding and water. The back 9 is the what makes this course worth the money. Not much like it in the state of Florida.

back side has some great holes front is average at best. I would play holes different the 2nd time around.

Course was extremely dry, making ground hard and greens super fast. Cart paths in serious need of repair and have deep holes in them, causing jars to back and hips.

Front nine is a mess. Back was decent. Had a group of five in front of us on front until they let us play through.. new group of players were allowed to jump ahead of us us on back which took 2.5 hours to play. . Stay away from this place!

I would call this a goat track but no self respecting goat would be caught dead near this dump. Other than 3 decent holes the other 15 haven’t seen a maintenance worker in a long time. The “browns “ were bumpy and quick (they don’t have greens). The cart paths look like they were used to train Air Force bombers as the concrete had been beaten to rubble. Stay away from this dump

Great fun course, very challenging back 9. The course itself is in good shape, the fairways are good. The tee boxes and greens are also good..

Maybe the only thing I noticed was the golf carts seats were kinda beat up on most of the drivers sides.

We have been playing this course the past 5 years, and this year it is in really bad shape. They are losing the greens, tee boxes are terrible, and fairways/rough is not maintained very well well, if at all. I spoke with individual in the Pro Shop and he agreed with my assessment. This course used to be in good shape, and enjoyed playing it. Today, we paid for 18 and walked off after 9. Needs to be vastly improved before we return.

Save yourself the money, I would rather play golf on a simulator than waste my money on this place! Maybe I am biased since I've played here when it was in much better shape. Today's round was a travesty! Some of the tee boxes were nicer than the greens. This course seems riddled with poor management, burnt and diseased greens, and an overall lack of pride! We drove an hour to come to play this course and what a disappointment it was. If nothing else, they should at least give you a disclaimer when booking: Some of our tee boxes are ok, some of the fairways have had water on them in the last month, and our greens are HORRIFIC, enjoy the round!

The fairways, tee boxes were in great shape, the greens were good.

The place looks good over all.

The only problem was, the pace of play was extremely slow. To many carts bunched up waiting to play.

The range is pretty short and Sandy, but the staff are very friendly and even came by while we were warming up just to check in and take our range bucket away. Very forgiving fairways for anyone who has a slice or a hook, I had a few shots like that, but was able to find my ball most of the time no problem. Some of the tea boxes and the greens could use some work and maybe new grass but most were good. The carts at one point were probably very nice as they have a golf club and golf ball cleaner on the side, which many courses in the area don’t but are very worn and the seat's need to be reupholstered. Overall the course is fun to play, especially the back 9, but the front 9 is great too! Def worth the price and even more if they make some of the changes mentioned.
