Brooksville Country Club offers a uniquely scenic experience with a rolling landscape covered with live oaks and remnants of the abandoned limestone mine still present throughout. The surroundings are unlike any other golf courses in central Florida, which has made it popular amongst both locals and visitors. Besides the beautiful scenery, the terrain provides dramatic elevation changes that make each hole unique. The traditional layout features contoured, rolling fairways and four memorable holes that play along and through a century-old quarry. The golf course starts out gently but becomes progressively more challenging as you head towards the back nine, which was designed by Bobby Weed. It is a layout that demands precision and rewards skillful shotmaking. In addition to the unique setting and challenging design, Brooksville Country Club also boasts immaculately conditioned fairways and greens.

Okay

Okay course with a fun layout. Nice having some elevation change in florida. Greens were in decent at best shape. Grass was long in a lot of areas. Lost a couple balls that should of been easy to find

Greens on Memorial Day weekend👎🏽

Being memorial day weekend. These greens should have been in better condition. Sand piles everywhere. I understand the reason behind it but a leaf blower would have solved the problem. I honestly can’t believe we weren’t told of situation or have it on app with aeration alert.

Love this course but….

Love this course but the conditions have gone way down hill no puns intended this place needs some serious TLC to get back to where it used to be, greens are terrible almost through out the whole course and the tee boxes and fairways are some of the worsts I’ve ever played as well as the poorly maintained sand traps

ALWAYS HAPPY TO PLAY BROOKSVILLE CC

Had a chance to take two of my golfing friends up to Brooksville Country Club on May 14th. Spring is over for us so it's getting hot & humid. Also, it's been an unusually dry winter/spring over central Florida so with such little rain the course was not as lush as usual.

None of that mattered once we hit the 12th hole and continued through various quarry holes. So different from most of the courses we play in central Florida. If you have not played Brooksville CC put it on your golf bucket list. You will not be disappointed!

Dry but decent condition

Greens recently aerated, so bumpy and sandy. Tees and fairways generally grassy with some patchy areas. Pace was excellent at 3.5 hrs. Quarry holes always a challenge. Staff are terrific.

Cmon

I know they have a new groundskeeper, but we need to get back to where we were with this place. Been playing there most of my adult life, fairways the worst I've seen, I know they working on the greens so I wasn't bothered by that. Carts are nicer, but we need better fairways. Quarry holes looked nice aside from 17 green

Needs help

Where do I start? Untrimmed trees, uncut grass, patchy greens. The course definitely needs some help. A friend and I went out today and the pace was horrible. The first few holes were fine time wise but once you got to hole 10, there were 4 groups waiting at the same time. We only ended up doing the front 9 due to how long it took to do them with the constant stopping and waiting (over 2.5 hours). The grass was uncut in a lot of the areas, the trees look like they havent been trimmed in years, and the course is like a scene from world war 2 with all the holes randomly scattered around. Maybe the back 9 would've changed my mind a little but like I stated earlier, we didn't play it. $40 for this course seems a little too much for it (and yes, I know $40 is cheap).

ALMOST GREAT

I have had a warm regard for Brooksville Country Club since I discovered it 20 some years ago. If you know anything about the course you know that the back nine is what really makes this track truly special. Last Wednesday was no different and for the most part the course represented itself very well. My only disappointment was the lack of growth in the fairways and greens were a bit bumpy. I cannot blame Brooksville C.C. for this. All of central Florida has been particularly dry this past winter & spring. Hopefully the afternoon rains, which should be starting within the next 30 days will bring the course up to it's normally lush standards. Bottom line, if you have not played Brooksville C.C. and have the opportunity to do so, do NOT pass it up. Even with conditions a little less than perfect right now a round there will surprise you, delight you & give you something wild to talk about with your buddies when you get back home.

The course was in horrible condition some of it is because of the lack of rain but from the tee boxes to the greens and everything in between was terrible. I’ve played this course a couple of times in the past and it was in excellent condition and was well maintained the layout is great it’s hard to find evaluation changes in Florida but Brooksville Golf and County Club has that I just wish they would put the money into to bring it back to the way it was in the past . I won’t be back until conditions improve so sad

Course in decent shape

Greens are ok, some better than others. Tees and fairways are dry but still grassy. Traps in great shape. Pace was a little slow. Quarry holes are challenging.

Not a fan

Great staff, but the course made it unpleasant. Greens were in rough shape. When you have a putt that is pretty much straight, it would bounce around back and forth because the greens lacked smoothness. Even if you landed on the GIR, it was a little discouraging knowing how unpredictable the roll would be. The fairway was rough...very rough condition. The tee boxes were embarrassing. I feel that if your course is in that kind of shape and you keep your prices up, it discourages people from wanting to come back. It's like we pay high prices but we don't see you putting the money to good use and help keep the course up. It makes me not want to come back until I hear from others that things have changed. Sorry, cannot recommend to others. The one thing I will say that is nice, and I am very thankful for, is the new carts. Great job on that purchase!
