About
Meadowlark Golf Club in Huntington Beach is a player-friendly layout that is a popular choice amongst locals. Like most classically designed layouts, the course is short and tight but that also makes it easily walkable. The pin placements on the greens can be tricky and there are also some challenging water hazards that come into play on several holes. The golf course will test your short game skills but there are wide, player-friendly fairways that balance the trickier elements. Beware, though, numerous trees on the golf course make many of the tee shots tight and narrow. It is not an overly difficult layout but it is an enjoyable round that players of any skill level will enjoy. Meadowlark also offers affordable rates that make it doubly appealing.

Pace was good, and course in good shape. Plus new golf carts!

The greens were punched on tutoday. Surprisingly they weren't so bad today.
Not a whole lot of sand like. Other courses I've played the greens where a little slow but true.

Course is in great shape, other than a few wet spots. Good green conditions. Tee boxes need leveling.

A staple in the rotation
Meadowlark is always a staple in our rotation of courses we play. You really can’t go wrong with a friendly and accommodating staff, and an amazing course for the price in the area! Cart included! If it’s open, book it and have fun! Even if you’re solo, you always get paired with good people

My favorite OC MUNI
5 star rating, my five star rating is based on the following:
Course conditions: course conditions are great, this course plays like a true muni should. Pace of play is most always 4 hours, however we know how all courses get in the late afternoons. The value is outstanding, the course has a great online reservation system and if I’ve ever had a tee time question the pro shop always answers.
Proshop & Staff: there is a gentleman by the name of Jordan, this guy is fun, he’s outgoing, nice and from the sounds of things with the other employees promotes a good culture. The cart girl starts around 9ish so sometimes that’s rough if you have a early early time, but the snack shop always gets it done for those occasions. The proshop is surprisingly stocked and stocked well… I’m talking big name brands, great finds, and good prices. For example I found a TaylorMade hat on-site that I didn’t want to buy online and couldn’t find at local stores, pretty cool to not have a hefty price tag at a course retail shop.
Course amenities: nice driving range, perfect for the pre round warmup, there is a nice putting green with decent slope and true course speed, this helps get things dialed in. The restaurant and bar has fantastic food and i challenge you to find a better bar atmosphere at a golf course, and everyone is respectful and welcoming.
My bottom line: you really feel the city of Huntington Beach at this course, laid back atmospheres, beautiful beach weather and amazing prices from snack shop to proshop to tee times.
When I go to book a Teetime the “Lark” is the first I consider

good tough little course
i like this course, the layout, usually in good shape.
pace of play was an issue for the front 9, seemed
to move a little better on the back.
