Meadowlark Golf Course

Course lacked proper maintenance-- many areas were hard pan and/or mud with no grass. Some green areas were roped off for over protection of local residents and their privacy. There was no water to clean equipment. I.e. golf balls. There were not enough carts to furnish to players--- staff continue to ask to return cards ASAP. The twosome we play with--their cart went dead on the third hole. They didn't mention that greens were aerated and almost all greens were impacted. Escalated price does not equal to value of what I paid. I will seriously scrutinize whether I will play here every day again.

Booked online with cart and when I arrived was told the cart will shared with a real friendly guy, which is fine with me. Well, when I got to the cart, the friendly guy didn’t want to share the cart, until he was told me had to. Great- now I got a guy who doesn’t want me in the cart I paid for, for 18 holes. Sometime mid-round, a random guy came to my green and said “can I have my ball back?” I’m using a red ball, maybe he was too? Told him I was playing my ball, and my friendly cart buddy, testifies he saw me tee off with that red ball and is certain I’m playing my ball. The random accuser didn’t apologize said nothing and walked away. Rude, Classless people play here who probably shouldn’t play gentlemen’s game of golf. No etiquette whatsoever. The slow group ahead of us was so slow, couldn’t finish in 5 hours with no one ahead of them.

I’ve played at Meadowlark for over 25 years. The management of the course should be fired! The course conditions were horrible! It was a cow pasture! Standing water ALL over the place(including bunkers) & no it hadn’t rained in a long time. Greens were punched, nothing said when making reservations; ground under repair on every hole, but no actual repairs. Carts cost $14 per player and you carts with trash, damaged seats (tears, cracks, etc.); we walked. It’s evident that the management only cares about getting paid and not putting any money back into the course. I’ll play other courses that care about their courses.

Ground had many were spots and very soft.

Greens were recently aerated and full of sand. Greens were very poor. I wish we had been notified prior to starting as I may have chosen a different course.

Overall I was very disappointed in conditioning but I would play the course again in a month. Quite challenging from blues and I believe will play better the next time.

Recently punched greens, otherwise same as always. solid but nothing special.

It was good, but sharing a cart with another random solo isn’t ideal. Had to pay extra for a separate cart when a cart is already included in the price. Other than that, it was great

I had an enjoyable round of golf. I will play there again.

I booked this last minute as its rarely available and kind of far for me but I figured i would give it a shot based off the good reviews and I must say that I was very pleased with the course and staff. Everyone was very friendly and the course was in great shape... Its not the longest curse but definitely not the easiest by far as many holes are challenging so you must hit it straight for a good approach shot to the green but also know your distances to decide to tee it up high and let it fly or lay it up and be smart about the hole for a better score..... ITS WAS FUN ALL THE WAY AROUND!!!

I asked 3 people to book and 1 person to check in, 2 carts were assigned to 3 people and give a cart to one person who joins separately. I protested to use the cart with a stranger, but it was rejected and asked for an additional cart fee This is a very unfair policy and I think we should refund the additional payment.

Had a good round, play this course twice a month, and look forward to it every time. I hope it stays hidden for a long time.
