About
At Red Rock Country Club, Arnold Palmer has created an escape from desert golf with a lush green course that forces golfers to think over their shots. As you're thinking, a waterfall could be crashing in the background. There are actually two Palmer courses here, but only The Arroyo is open for public play.
It measures in at 6,883 yards from the back tees and uses dramatic bunkering to set off its holes. The par 4s are particularly inventive, especially the 432-yard 4th. The par-3 seventh gives you great views of The Strip in the distance. The greens consistently run 10-11 on the Stimpmeter and the fairways are designed to funnel shots that are not overly wild back into decent lies.
"The Arroyo Course is what it is -- a playable course with stunning scenery and a smattering of decent golf holes," former TravelGolf.com writer Shane Sharp said. "It won't provide as memorable a round as Sin City's big-name resort courses, but the price is relative. If you're looking for a course to include in your annual Vegas rotation, Arroyo would be a nice addition, considering its conditioning and scenery."

Slow play, great greens
After 16 holes and 4 1/2 hours of play I gave up. Waited on every hole. Mentioned to the only staff members I saw and he just shrugged. Greens are in great shape and fast but not worth what I payed.
Beautiful course
Terrific course beautiful and challenging. Pace of play was horrendous. Marshal stopped us to tell us to pick up the pace ??? There were 3 groups in front of us that WE were waiting on. I don’t get it

Don't Bother
Played yesterday and the course is in horrible condition. Seems as if conditions get worse every time we play. There are other courses in the area which are twice as nice than Arroyo. Too bad because we enjoy the layout. If I was a tourist and payed the tourist rate, I would be even more disappointed.

Arroyo
Weather coming out of summer or just having over seeded this fairways are in terrible shape. The greens has good speed and rolled mostly true. It was just not worth the $95.00 for the round.

Good if you have time to kill and money to waste
Horrible pace of play, rude staff, bad layout and decent quality greens. Plan to waste at least 5 hours for 18 holes driving range was not available at the one time I went so we had to wait 30 minutes for tee off. No person was there to tell us when to start or where to go and in fact they made everyone start at the 7th hole when the layout was better made to start at the first????? Had to get a rental set when I brought twice the amount of clubs in one bag. $60 for terrible quality clubs. Spent $200 for me and my buddy to play here when there are much better places for under $80 a person. Price is higher just because it’s in a fancier area and they still can’t hire enough people to work there. Disgusted

Not up to par
Waiting every hole 1-2 groups just over 5 hrs to play an easy 4 hr course. Fairways were not the best a lot of open dirt everywhere you would think the course was under repair. To much money for the conditions and tee times to close together. Go play a public course because this private course is Not up to par.

Crazy layout
Was looking for a wow experience in Las Vegas and just did t get that. Range was closed and they started us on hole 7 which was another weird deal.

Fairways still need time to grow
Fairways have been aerated and are patchy. Give it a couple of weeks. Greens red to be rolled after being punched

Strangest layout ever.
Played this once and that will be enough. You spend more time riding around in your cart trying to find your way to the next tee box than you do actually golfing. There is no flow whatsoever from greens to the next tee. Just weird and not in the best shape the day we played it. I think they just sanded all the fairways and they were cut down to nothing. Paiute Sun was much, much better.

Horrible noise, soft tee boxes
Beautiful scenery and the young staff know what it means to work on a course. The residents have zero idea what it means to be living on a golf course. Several holes either had screaming people in the backyard or people throwing pool parties that can be hear from two holes away. The distance between some of the holes was almost overwhelming. The tee boxes were so soft it was difficult to get your tee to stand up. It was $51 to play but should have been less with the challenges of the neighborhood.

Over played, takes forever
Teed of at 3 and finished at 7:15. One group caused terrible delays. Verticut. Patchy fairways, and pelted greens. Head somewhere else

Fun layout… but
The course has a nice layout but the fairways had a lot of bare dirt. Tee boxes were just ok. Rough was very thick and hard to get out. Staff was friendly and pace was ok. Had to wait on a couple of tees. We are from out of town and I don’t think it was worth the price we paid.

Red Rock
Just could not understand why it would take 2:45 mins to play 9 holes. No rangers on course. Left the course after 9 holes. Every hole was a min of 10 min wait between shots
