Arroyo Golf Club
About
At Red Rock Country Club, Arnold Palmer has created an escape from desert golf with a lush green course that forces golfers to think over their shots. As you're thinking, a waterfall could be crashing in the background. There are actually two Palmer courses here, but only The Arroyo is open for public play.
It measures in at 6,883 yards from the back tees and uses dramatic bunkering to set off its holes. The par 4s are particularly inventive, especially the 432-yard 4th. The par-3 seventh gives you great views of The Strip in the distance. The greens consistently run 10-11 on the Stimpmeter and the fairways are designed to funnel shots that are not overly wild back into decent lies.
"The Arroyo Course is what it is -- a playable course with stunning scenery and a smattering of decent golf holes," former TravelGolf.com writer Shane Sharp said. "It won't provide as memorable a round as Sin City's big-name resort courses, but the price is relative. If you're looking for a course to include in your annual Vegas rotation, Arroyo would be a nice addition, considering its conditioning and scenery."

Robert Lathan
This was my first time playing this course. Being that I will be in Las Vegas for the summer, I wanted to find a course that provided great course conditions with a great staff. This place was it. After finding out that I would be playing alone, the starter, Loren, partnered me with his brother, a close friend, and himself. Loren was absolutely awesome, and I plan to stay in contact with him throughout the summer of 2016 when I plan to play this course.
Arroyo
Nice course. Conditions were ok. Greens were on the slow side
Greens were punched
Great layout but the greens were recently punched. No notice, warning. Not worth $175 with punched greens!!
Fast greens
Great course played it several times and always ahd a good expereience
great day for golf
Fairways are wide, greens are super fast, plaing close the mountain got to watch your speed, overall a great day.
Disappointing Arrogance, Snobbery
The day began with a winding maze through the houses to get to the pro shop. Hard to tell where to go since there are two clubhouses and two courses. I showed up early and planned on practicing awhile prior to teeing off. The attendant showed me where to go. The range is double end teed with a nice maintained section for members and a beat up sandy divot holed area for non-members. Not a blade of grass to hit off of unless your a member. I walked over to the chipping area next to the public driving range and within 5 minutes I was asked to leave the area, that only members can chip. I asked where I could chip and the range worker said we don't have any place for you to do that. So I hot a few more balls off the sand and drove back to the putting green to roll a few putts. Before I got out of my cart another range attendant accosted me and said no putting unless your a member. So I drove the cart back to the pro shop where the starter had left for the day. The assistant pro said just go tee off. So I took off to find the first hole. It was about a mile away. Luckily I was able on my own to join up with three nice guys and enjoyed most of the day. The layout of the course, the design of the homes and course is horrible. You must drive your cart between holes long distances and over many streets and curbs. My back was hurting much of the day from the bumb, bump, bump of the carts. Probably drove the cart twice as far as most courses.
If not for the snobby unfriendly staff and the long drives to tees, this would be a nice course to play, but I doubt i will ever come back. Too many other golf courses where they actually promote customer service.
Great improvements in the course
The previous time I played here was about 5 years ago and the course had some issues with conditioning, and heavy play. Fast forward to this year. Played with a group of 8 friends for a birthday celebration. The golf course was in great shape. Greens had some issues with golfers not fixing ballmarks, and some spike marks, but other than that they rolled very good. They had just overseeded and the roughs were a good 3" deep so that made missing the fairway *which I did often) a real challenge. Overall this place has improved a lot since the new golf course management team has come on board.
Nice view
Impressed with all staff & personnel who are pleasent and helpfull. Would definitely play this course again. Well maintainned & manicured green.
Great layout and nice view
We had a great time there again & was paired with a nice couple from Canada. Green was a bit slow and overall well maintained course. Only drawback is distance between teebox, if not it would have been perfect.
Excellent golf course
I play this course 4-5 times a year and it never gets old because of the great condition and layout of the course.
Wonderful arroyo course as a garden
The golf course is pretty , perfect preparation
It is a garden
Very friendly golf people
Each hole is beautiful
Conditions
They were poor. For the price not happy to clean & place every fairway
Great Place To Play, But Dangerous!
This course is able to accommodate a buffet of skill levels. It's fun to look at. The range is pro-like, the course was statuesque, and the greens were in tip-top shape. The rolls were pure. I know this is a country club, but still I got the underlying tone that I didn't belong their. I'm a black man, so take it for what's it worth. LOL
Later golfers.
great view
fairways were being worked on but overall not bad.
Fast greens
Great course with excellent practice facilities. The course played very well and the greens were very fast.
A couple of weeks before overseed
Condition of course shows the preparation for over seeding
Normally this course is in great shape.
100 degrees no beverage cart
Horrible experience. Asked the pro shop about beverage cart and they stated you will see one every 4 holes. Said ok, I will just take 2 Gatorades and two beers. Little did I know we would never see the beverage. What makes matters worse is you can't stop at the turn unless of course you want to back track about a mile to the club house due to the ridiculous lay out. Oh yeah the course was packed. On the second hole we waited 20 minutes to tee off. Three groups on the hole. When I asked about the beverage cart after hole 9 they said well she went home and there was no one else. Mind you this is Labor Day weekend and their parking lot is so full of cars you struggle to find a parking spot. Oh no I'm not done. The course looks like its hasn't been watered since its creation and the grooves from the impending overseeding make some of the holes unplayable. As for the ridiculous layout, besides the in ability to make the turn you have to drive a couple minutes between some of the holes with very little direction. I guess the positive side on the front nine lack of restrooms is that you will be dehydrated from no beverage cart so you will not need them. Lastly, as busy as it was you had some bone head members hitting in to you while you were on the green. The ranger obviously was not going to talk to them so they did it the whole round. What a poorly managed abortion.
Above average course.
Very nice course, not to difficult, very user friendly
Good Track
Great conditions for August. Lush turf. Receptive speedy greens. Played early 630. 3 hour round. Plenty of water stations. Good value.
can't walk this course
The course is a nice layout with many good holes. However, the bunkers are very course and have many rocks in them. There were many unrepaired ball marks on the greens although the greens were in very good shape. The are long distances between certain greens and the next tee which makes a golf cart mandatory. It would be impossible to walk this course.
