You won’t be disappointed. Exceeded expectations in every aspect.
Mesquite doesn't disappoint
Had played the Palmer course back in 2016, so when I came back in the area, decided to give the Canyons a go. The day started cold and windy but cleared out into a nice sunny day after the first few holes.
As opposed to many reviewers, we had no pace of play issue, starter put us on 1st tee a few minutes ahead, and it was all smooth sailing from there.
The conditions of the fairways and greens were superb, and the course layout is interesting and varied, with some holes easier and others more challenging. The course is mostly wide, with the exception of the very precise par 3s, making for a fun game overall.
The slight negatives: a few uneven teeboxes, houses in play on a few holes, and a bit on the pricey side (and range is not included).
The vistas are also less numerous/impressive than the Palmer course, so if you're only playing one, I definitely recommend Palmer.
nice course, great setting
The course was in excellent shape. great variety of holes. some holes had great vistas. a bit more challenging with the wind, but an enjoyable place to play.
Great course
Reminds me a lot like Palm Springs, pace of play brutally slow due to shotgun start. Staff friendly and would easily play again.
Poor Tee Time Management if a Good Course
This is a nice course that I’ll likely play again. But there was a serious issue of tee time mismanagement on the day I played. A shotgun outing was being held at the course and we didn’t tee off until 40 minutes after our scheduled tee time, along with about a dozen other golfers with tee times who were similarly delayed. The situation was poorly managed and communicated by the starter and club house.
Oasis in the Canyon
Played this course for the first time. Gentleman who brought us cart was very friendly and helpful in orienting us to course. Was told range balls were only free with a full rate green fee.; I doubt Mr. Palmer initiated that idea. Course was well maintained in all areas. Got to watch for sloped fairways which can really penalize a down the middle shot. Greens had lots of slope but were very smooth. Enjoyed the challenge on a beautiful day in Mesquite. Look forward to playing the Palmer course on our next visit.
Great fun
Played here before. Really like the course, was in really good shape. Will come back again.
Better Marshal
One problem with course, they need a marshal that actually pays attention to pace of play, I played twice last week, both occasions had one group that was super slow, as a result I only got in 14 and 15,holes. They lagged 4 holes behind group in front of them, from my perspective, marshal should have hounded them, if play didn’t speed up, take some action, 5 hour rounds at this course are unacceptable. Both days it boiled down to one group
Great time again!
Top shelf facility with great people working. Please add gps & pin sheets. TYVM!
I liked the layout and terrain
Had a 1:00 T time and did not have enough time to finish 18 holes before it got dark
