Course condition
Greens appeared to have been recently sanded and were slow and bumpy - the course was other wise in excellent condition
great course
Even thou this course is somewhat challenging I played my best ever front nine at just 2 over, at 69 yrs. of age I was quite happy, the back nine I was back to my norm at 10 over (yuck)
Great layout and value
This course is such a cool and fun layout. Price is right and a fair course for mountain golf (as we call it in Florida). Really nice layout with elevation but still have some risk / reward especially on par 5’s. Other than the first four green, greens were nice. I would play again
Course is great, staff not so much
I loved the course even though some of the greens were a little torn up. The staff seemed grouchy all around. Very little guidance from staff for new comers like us.
Chefken
So today I played the oasis canyons course for the second time in two weeks it’s still in great shape of course is really being taken care of very well the greens or a little bit fast but they’re nice
Golf Now and the prices were great one person to a cart ATT me with a good guy from Colorado had a great day thanks for all you do on the golf course guys
No etiquette or marshal; slowest round
I have played the Oasis Canyons course several times, and I was excited to play despite the strong winds; however, after checking in, I was told they were going to partner me with a 2-some with a 30-min later tee time if they checked in early which they didn’t; anyhow, based upon a former starter’s comment about getting me out early as a single, I went to the tee box because I didn’t see any carts at the tee box and no groups had been called; the starter today told me that there were two tee times ahead of mine so he couldn’t send me out, but there weren’t any groups on the #1 hole; as I started backing my cart away, I heard him call the clubhouse to send the two member tee time groups to the tee box which was announced as I drove back to the putting and chipping area; shorty after I started putting, I was called behind the two 4-some that had been called early to the tee; as I arrived at the tee box, the starter told me the two 4-somes were together so they needed to go out together, but he also added that they were good golfers so it would be fine; that was the ONLY time that I did not wait on the 4-some group immediately in front of me which was an average of a hole behind the group in front of them; as I got to the #2 tee box, I waited and talked with another course employee who appeared to be putting new sand bottles out along the course, and she told me that I should hit two balls since the group ahead was slow; only one player had teed off be the time I had finished hole #1 and drove to the #2 tee box; little did I know this would be the regular process for the day; on the #7 tee box, one cart stopped and told me that there were eight 4-somes in front so there was no where for me to go which is why they didn’t let me play through; I finally talked with a marshal as I waited at the #17 tee box and shared that this was the way the entitled day had been; he commented that they were very slow putting on the #16 green, but said there were only two holes left and drove off; after the group drove off from the #17 tee box, I stood on the tee box and the 4-some behind me arrived — I had spoken with two times prior about this slow, non-etiquette golf group; because the five of us were waiting, I invited them to join me for the last two holes and play as a 5-some which we did.
This was a very frustrating 5-hour round, and the course was not in very good shape, fairways and greens; I enjoy the Oasis Golf Club courses, but this experience was as bad as I have had, and everyone knows that golf etiquette states that faster groups should be allowed to play through always; this group obviously interpreted this as ‘only if there was an open hole in front’
Overall nice course but HORRIBLE Pace of play
We teed off at 1:00. Did the front nine in 2 hours. Got to hole 10 & it was backed up. Got to 11 & we could see 3 groups in front of us being held up by a group in front of them. Waited 10-15 minutes at the 11th tee box & went home. No rangers in sight.
Lotsa elevation changes
Fun course. Fair but need to play it a few times to avoid hazards
Hot & Dry Canyons
Great course. Could be maintained better. Very dry. Staff is very snobby.
Great round with four singletons
I reserved my tee time, one of four slots, because I have enjoyed this course in the past; when I arrived and checked in, they indicated they would call us out and that I was playing with three other singletons; it was a great round; my partners were friendly and our skill levels were very similar; the course valet and starter were both very friendly and accommodating; the course was in very good shape which made the round very enjoyable; I will return to the Oasis Golf Club in the future.
Fun course but in rough condition
Played here yesterday and it was super fun. This course definitely punishes you for hitting straight down the fairway if you don’t know what lies ahead. There is water and the ground is hard so your ball rolls along away.
The greens on the front nine were in bad shape and extremely fast. The back nine was much better
