About
Located about an hour from both the Monterey Peninsula and the San Francisco Bay area is Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Gilroy, a city known as the "Garlic Capital of the World" and just east of Santa Cruz. Eagle Ridge's 18 holes of modern-designed championship golf are set amongst the oak forest foothills since it opened in 2000. The golf course features six sets of tee boxes, 92 bunkers, three lakes, seven creeks and also features many multi-tiered greens so it can play as challenging as golfers of any skill level would like. Eagle Ridge Golf Club also features full practice, restaurant and clubhouse facilities.

Fixed the bunkers .. it’s nice now
Bunkers are fixed and nice now . Course layout is fun and challenging .. pace of play can be slow but if you don’t mind leisurely then this is great !

C for effort
Some deferred fairway and approach work kept finding my shot.
The greens were nicely maintained.
Lack of on course goody cart left the desire to come back lacking.

Course maintenance badly needed
Being playing this course for over a decade now. Lots of time and money spent to fix the bunkers, which have at least become 80% playable. Greens were pinched over 4 months ago, yet conditions were 80% with lots of dead or pitted spots. Primary issue today is the fairways, which are near unplayable I. Areas on all holes. Not sure the reason or plan, but fairway conditions were exceptionally disappointing.

Johnny Miller wouldn't recognize the place
The course is now in good condition after a couple years of bunker remodels. The original course design proved to much of a challenge and resulted in very slow play due to searches for errant shot. All that is gone now and the course is only challenging when played from the tips yet extremely playable from forward tees.

Return to better times
The bunkers are repaired and the tees, turf and greens are in great shape. I wish they switched to bent greens but the sun is brutal so I understand.
It isn't the beast Jhonny Miller intended but it is a great layout with tee options for any handicap

Beautiful setting
Beautiful course. Greens were nice. Course definitely needs attention. Lack of maintenance on bridges landscaping. Clubhouse shows lack of maintenance with holes in walls paint chipping.

Challenging Golf
Nice , course conditions, with very well maintained greens!
Tee boxes and sand traps in very good condition.
Par 3’s are strong and par 5’s are fairly tight.
Fun course to play, early morning best time to play this course .
