About
Located about an hour from both the Monterey Peninsula and the San Francisco Bay area is Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Gilroy, a city known as the "Garlic Capital of the World" and just east of Santa Cruz. Eagle Ridge's 18 holes of modern-designed championship golf are set amongst the oak forest foothills since it opened in 2000. The golf course features six sets of tee boxes, 92 bunkers, three lakes, seven creeks and also features many multi-tiered greens so it can play as challenging as golfers of any skill level would like. Eagle Ridge Golf Club also features full practice, restaurant and clubhouse facilities.

Not what it used to be
I love this golf course, however it is in failing condition and that is just to bad. At the rate of play that has fallen off drastically I am afraid it will go the way of "The Ranch" that was located in San Jose.
The layout is hard and the course is difficult to say the least. There are spots on several greens where zero grass is growing. There has been Nothing done to get the numerous sand bunkers back into shape. They are all declared "out of play" with "ground under repair" signs. I hope my fears are Not justified and that after the fake pandemic goes away they can put some money into the course and get it back to its magnificent self.

Great course
In a gated community in gilroy and is in really good shape no one was out there and it was one of the better course in the south bay

people came from nowhere and cut off us
Our tee time was 3pm on Saturday. Course is in good condition, green was good, bunker was not playable. The problem started around 12th hole. we were cut off by several group of people. Our pace was okay so it was not like we were slow. These people were not the group behind us and they didn't ask. They just teed off the next tee box when we talked on. They were probably local club members who just finished a round and randomly doing replay. It happened three times by different groups. It only shows this course is poorly managed.

Great track horrible conditions
Nestled just outside of Gilroy CA, this course is surrounded by nice upscale housing, too back the course conditions are mediocre at vest, terrible at worst. All bunkers are being played at GUR and although they say they are redoing them there is no evidence of that. All grown in or just rocky dirt. The variety of holes is nice and the par 3s are particularly good. Seems to me they are having trouble, but the pandemic, and fires may have been reason for little play. This could be a gem with some Maintenence.

Tough course. Good scenery
Course is a fun layout. Quite long and hard. Lots of tight drives and approach shots. Grass and greens well maintained. Bunkers were still ground in repair. I think they have been this way for almost a year.

Need help
I have played Eagle for the past 8 years and I have seen the course get in worse shape every year. I really like the course layout, staff, and location. However, at a certain point they need to start investing some money on the bunkers, greens, etc. otherwise they will keep losing customers. I continue playing here because it is cheap and pace of play is fast (because no one is at the course).

Fun track with some blemishes
Cool layout, some very challenging holes. Bunkers are all ground under repair and tee boxes are a bit chewed up. But, fairways and greens in good condition.

Bunkers all over are in bad shape. Taking a drop does not reflect the right score. Some greens seemed aerated but there were dry spots in greens. Also the pace on greens was different.

On our last outing, Eagle Ridge allowed us to book 4 tee times for our group. Evan was very gracious in allowing us to play back to back to back. We had a blast playing and the course was in great shape. Bunkers are still under construction and the greens were being upgraded, but still a blast. Shout out to the Marshal! He was amazing and had such a great sense of humor. He even took his cart and helped us look for a lost ball.

Tough course, but it is beautiful course.
Before playing this course, I’ve heard that it was a tough course. The course itself is beautiful. Right now, all the bunkers are under repair. The day we played, all the green are being maintained so there was a lot of sand on it which made it hard to read the green. Overall, this course is beautiful. Definitely would love to play here again especially once the condition of the green and bunker is in its best.

Great layout, suffering some challenges to the condition
I've always appreciated this course. Has a pretty good variety of holes and decent yardage markers. 3 of the 4 par 3s are basically the exact same yardage (probably the only real weakness in design). However, the current condition is pretty rough. All course are struggling with bunkers under covid conditions, but this course had major grass problems in the fairways. You can play around it, but it's definitely a little annoying. I wouldn't pay full price right now, but lots of hotrates are available.

Nice, tough course in good shape
Very nice course with a challenging layout. Some tight landing zones. On the longer side, but not too long. Lots of fun!
