The course was really nice. But some players were so selfish. Many players were waiting due to selfish players.
Great layout except for traps!
Course is in good condition, however, the sand traps were horrendous!!
Fun challenge
It is a very tough course. The greens are fast and have many subtle breaks. It is fun to play despite the difficulty. The views are great. The course layout is interesting. The greens and fairways are in great condition.
Great Course
Fun and challenging course.. Beautiful course and location.
Great and challenge Gc
Wow, this is for no beginner. Very challenge and interesting. You have to think strategically and better have a good course management. Otherwise, need to bring lots of ball. Love this GC
Bunkers
The bunkers have been the worst I've seen in the north bay area, They say their working on them.
It was a mud hole, raining, behind a tournament, 3 hours to play 9 holes, not fun.
Great bones, can’t wait for bunkers to be fixed.
It’s a fun course with a lot of character and some great views. Good price, but when I played the course it was pretty wet, so it was cartpath only.
When the bunkers are fixed and the weather is nice it will be one of the best public courses in the area.
Terrible Condition
I played here many times since the course was opened. I actually played with Johnny Miller when he opened the course and 19 years ago and he would be ashamed that his name is associated with a course in this type of condition. Granted it rained the day before but I’ve played enough golf in my life time to know when a course is properly maintained during the rainy season. I was warned before playing this course about how bad the conduit was that it was in but I could not believe how bad it actually was. Almost every buncker was deemed ground under repair you could tell that the fairways had not been sanded to soak up the moisture in some time driving range was mats only carts don’t have GPS and good luck finding a sprinkler head for yardage. I have a soft spot for this course because I played with Johnny but unfortunately I will not be going back. Plenty of other courses in the South Bay to get you money’s worth....RIP Eagle Ridge...RIP
Worth the drive
Eagle Ridge is always in great shape, the staff is nice, greens are very fast and we'll maintained. They are working on some of the bunkers so expect some maintenance issues there. Overall it's a great course that I would recommend to anyone wanting a real challenge. (Not for the beginning golfer, this is a lot of golf course!)
Nice layout. A typical Johnny Miller course, a little challenging but very picturesque. The sand bunkers were in poor shape but overall I like the course.
Used to be a nice course.
This used to be one of the best conditioned courses in the valley. Not anymore. The bunkers are a complete mess. The tee boxes are wet, wavy and need to be mowed. It was almost like teeing off out of wet rough. Some of the fairways are getting patchy and have many areas with weeds. The greens were in decent shape and rolled pretty good but overall the conditions were pretty shabby. Not sure what's going on here but a once great track is slowly turning into a neglected dog track. Sad to see.
It’s a shame
The course is challenging but the bunkers are in terrible shape. The greens are in good shape, the amenities very limited. It’s a shame because Eagle Ridge should be a gem.
Best game ever! I was on fire
WOW I was actually shooting like a pro almost every shot it was amazing and so great when I struck the ball and how straight ,long and far it went and this happened in every part of my game ! Each shot was amazing. At first I started slow and was held up by 4 foursomes but by the sixth hole I broke free of them by them letting me play through. I them got 9 pars and 1 birdie through 6 -18th hole
Still an excellent venue for serious golfers
It had been a year since I played here and I was not disappointed. The greens were in excellent condition and the rest of the course (tees, fairways and rough) in very good condition. This is a challenging layout though not unfair if you place your shots strategically. The clubhouse and maintenance of the premises are very well managed.
Take a drive - it is at the top of the list for Santa Clara County golf courses.
Awesome Greens
Eagle Ridge greens are almost perfect and I hope they stay that way, if everyone fixes there ball marks it should stay fast and true. I had an awesome time playing golf there.
Course in great shape, bunkers still bad
Staff claims that the bunkers are being rebuilt, but those that have been done are still quite poor. The rest of the course is in nice shape, especially the greens, which are beautiful..
