Honey Bee Golf Club
About
Nestled in the heart of Virginia Beach, Honey Bee Golf Club is one of the area's most popular daily-fee golfing venues. Rees Jones designed the course, incorporating water on 10 holes as well as intricate bunkering throughout. The challenging layout has several tricky doglegs and some treacherous blind shots as well. It's a golf course that demands careful course management and some strategic thinking. Accurate shot placement is also key when maneuvering the rolling fairways and contoured greens. While it's by no means an easy golf course, it is an enjoyable round for players of all skill levels, making it a popular venue for tournaments and corporate outings. For golfers looking to get an entire day of golf in, Honey Bee's sister club, Stumpy Lake, is only about half a mile away.

Pleasant day on the course
Conditions were overall good Greens good fairways so so ! Played in 3:45
Toughest easiest course around the 757
It was really fun but if you don’t have a gps or someone who plays here all the time with you then you can get into trouble pretty quickly. Some tough holes with water in play and quite a few dog leg lefts and rights. Greens were rolling pretty good. It’s a good $30-40 dollar course. I wouldn’t spend more than $40 to play it but it was cool to say I’ve played there.
Outstanding Course
Course was well kept and the weather was perfect. Pace of play was perfect also.
Don't let the short length fool you
I like short courses occasionally. This one is a par 70 but plenty of interesting holes. The greens are easy to read but subtle; I was close all day but rarely in. Very nice afternoon.
The best
Best course that’s not a country club. Greens are pure, tee boxes are solid. You pay for what you get, and their hot deals are awesome
Fun short course
No complaints other than people please fix your divots on the green. Sort of a slow pace of play, but not the worst.
One of my favorites...but those bunkers!
Have always loved playing Honey Bee. Visually appealing, challenging holes. But something has to be done about the bunkers. Some spots are very fluffy and nice, others are hard pan with a sprinkling of sand to make it look pretty.
Dry at Last!!!
After back-to-back weekends with rain the night before, the course was in excellent shape and ready to be played. And played I did. 39 on the front and 1 under through 5. It was the best round I have shot in a LOT of years. THe course was just fine after all of the rain that had fallen in the area the previous two weeks.
One note: Some of the fairways could have used a trim before playing on Sunday.
Outstanding
This course will challenge you starting with your first tee shot. When you lose two balls to water to start your round you have to think it's just not going to be your day, but even playing alone I have to admit this is the most I have enjoyed a round of golf since I picked up playing again.
Course was looking immaculate and even the cart path was in good condition (which tends to be a major gripe at other courses), but it was for me the greens that made things so much fun and so challenging. Real undulating greens that you had to really judge for break and pace and I loved it.
Loved it so much I am going to become an associate member so I can play this one more. Really enjoyable round of golf and the best course I have played in Hampton Roads so far.
Great day in the rain
It was fun in the flooded course, and we made it just in time when the lightning started.
Best in VB...so far
This course had the best conditions of any I have played so far in VB was a good set up and range and everything was laid out really well. Staff were super friendly and the cart lady was very attentive as well
Love it
Great layout, lot of water, not an easy one
Don’t miss to try!
