Located close to the San Tan Mountains, the course at the Lone Tree Golf Club offers not only a good game but also beautiful mountain views. This championship golf course was done in a traditional desert-style with rolling fairways and fast greens that are large and undulating. There are also several sand bunkers that protect both the fairways and the greens. Water hazards come into play on five holes and extensive mounding adds further challenge. The course features four sets of tee boxes to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. Lone Tree Golf Club boasts extensive practice facilities including a targeted grass range, a large putting green, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

Course is in Good Shape

Played there on a dark, windy day, with a couple of mild sprinkles during the round. Tee boxes were good, as were fairways , though cut extremely short in some places. Greens were extremely hard, making it a challenge to stay on the green. They were very fast, but true; however, numerous pin placements were on ridges and the wind magnified the downward roll (e.g., putting up hill to within 3 feet on a lateral ridge on Hole #1 and came to rest, then being caught by the wind and traveled 20 feet away). Sand traps were very inconsistent, with some being firm clay/dirt, with others having soft, fluffy sand. Played in 3:45, with basically no delay for our foursome. Definitely value-for-money. Go and enjoy while everything is green (not summer brown).

Solid Day At Lone Tree

Played Friday at 6:54am and finished in 4:40. Slower groups in front of us but they were doing their best to keep pace.

Overall the conditions were great, consistent throughout besides some of the aerated rough patches beside the fairways. Greens rolled great and were consistent although tough to hold, especially approach shots into front pins.

I’ll be back to play Lone Tree again in the future.

Price getting better

Easy to find easy check in. Carts can’t go to car. Sand bottles and ice chests on carts and the best seats Yamaha makes. Water bucket for towels. Water on course for us. Tees good fairways good roughs mostly pretty fair. Bunkers with sand. Greens pretty fast. Front nine really good if you hit fade into green. Only about half on the back. Waited on every shot after first hole but still done in under 4 Price much better too.

Nice course in nice shape for AZ course. Could stand a few more water stations throughout and water in the ball cleaners but other than that pretty nice.nice Mountain View’s too.

Great Value and Very Friendly

Golfed Lone Tree for the first time with my two boys, 19 and 16 years old. Staff was welcoming and very friendly. Course conditions were really good and it didn’t feel busy. Pace was great. Good amount of water for a desert course! LOL. Will definitely when back in town.

Fun course

I golfed this with a friend and my nephew. We had a great time and enjoyed the course. The t blocks were in good shape as well as the fairways. The greens were in great shape! The only downside which is most courses are the bunkers. Some of them had sand and were in ok condition while others needed work. Overall this is a good course and friendly staff.

A great course ruined by pace

Everyone that played there seemed to be just going through the motions and had a very fast pace. I was taking my time and trying to enjoy a round at a great course I've never experienced. I was rushed, harassed, and lectured by the marshal 4 times. My girlfriend and i play golf regularly but shes brand new to the sport so she had to hit a few extra shots per hole. That being said, our pace was 4 hours and 25 minutes. 10 minutes are the turn for a drink refill, 3 minutes for bathroom break, 5 minutes talking to the marshal, and another ~5 minutes for two holes that were cart path only. Our pace was just under 4hrs, which the pro shop confirmed was the preferred pace. I felt unwelcome, harassed, and stressed. Needless to say, i won't be back.
