Bear Creek Golf Complex - Bear Course
About
The Bear Course is one of two courses at the Bear Creek Golf Complex; it is a championship-length course while the other, the Cub Course, is an executive length course. The Bear Course is an inland, links-style course with rolling fairways and well-manicured greens. Strategically placed bunkers situated throughout the course add some challenge to the course. A round of golf on this course can be played in less than four hours. The Bear Creek Golf Complex, in addition to the two courses, also offers a full grass driving range, two putting greens, and a short game area with a bunker.

Decent course for the money
The course is a good value for the money. It was a busy Sunday tee time, and it took 20 minutes for a hot dog, and I was told they were running on time, but when I got to the tee box, I they were two tee times behind. The course has a nice layout, nice greens and decent fairways. Pace of play was a little slow on the front nine, about 2 1/2 hours and about 2 1/4 hours on the back. Overall for the money, it’s a decent course for the money.
Bear creek
This is a great warm up course. Tees, fairways greens are in decent condition.
The only delta was the pace of play which hit the wall around 14. We ended up at 4:50 after breezing thru the first 13.
Phoenix Open Weekend Golf
The course is challenging yet playable. The practice areas, putting green and golf course offered a complete golfing experience. The playing areas of the course are in very good shape. The non-playing areas are very worn and probably will not recover. If you can get past those minor appearance blemishes, the course is fun to play. We can and that's why play there every time we're in town.
Bear creek
Fairways, tees and greens were all in decent shape. Pace of play was good until we hit hole 15.
We crawled in. This is a decent course at the price point. I I’ll play it again.
Course plays long
Fun track with plenty of room to keep the ball in play. However there is trouble that will seek up on you if you’re not aware or carful. My initial round was after rain in 10 mph winds and 25mph gusts. I normally play between 6,000 to 6,500 yards so the starter confirmed things were fairly flat so I played the blue tees based on its openness. Big mistake I hit 6% of the greens, 67% of the fairways which produced 3 pars making the experience difficult or frustrating. .
Don’t make the mistake and play extra yardage and have fun trying to manage the huge greens that rolled nice and were in very
good condition.
I plan to be back to play the white tees and really enjoy the experience, being a 11 handicap i should easily break 90 versus not.
Thanks, Don
Fun layout
Staff was great
Greens fairways and bunkers were good but if you missed fairway it was just droed put desert.
Nice variety of holes with rolling fairways
Had a very pleasant round with the people I was paired with and pace was great(just over 4 hrs)
First time here in 12 years
Overall not a bad course, but nothing special. Greens rolled well and pretty true. Standing water everywhere including most bunkers. We had some rain the day before, but this course needs better drainage. I got a deal for $50, which was a fair price. I do not think this place is worth much more than $70 a round.
Overbooked
Our tee time was at 2:06, when we got to the tee at 2pm there was a group in the green, on the fairway, on the tee box and had a twosome in front of us. At 2:04 we were still waiting and the starter said we would make our time, in what works? We teed off at 2:30 and were backed up all round and stopped at 14 due to being out of light. No rain check or discount offered however the manager reached out to my review stating they were only 6 minutes behind and if we want to finish a round we should play at 12pm or sooner. It’s unfortunate because it’s a nice course but paying $75+ to be backed up all day is not worth it. I would have played again until the manager tried to justify everything.
Nice, fun track
Not the most difficult course hut a fun course to plsy. A little desert, wide fairways, and some elevation changed.
