Bear Creek Golf Complex - Cub Course
About
The Bear Creek Golf Complex offers two golf courses, one championship length course and one executive length course, the Cub Course. This sporty course is ideal for beginners and families. Like its sister course, the Bear Course, there are rolling fairways and well-manicured greens that have unique swales and collection areas. The design features five par 4s and the rest are par 3s, all of which vary in length. A round of golf on the Cub Course can be completed in less than three hours. The Bear Creek Golf Complex also boasts several practice facilities including a lighted driving range, two putting greens, and a short game area with a bunker.

Solid little course
I have played the Cub course a few times. Great course to work on your short game and play a fast round. Conditions this time of year were rough. If you aren’t in the fairway you play into some rocks. Greens are horrible to work on putting they play fast because the turf is just not there. I enjoy playing the course for the price and you get what you pay for.
Snail pace...
Four hours to play a 3,500 yard course...? Greens were extremely firm and had little grass, perhaps because overseeding is around the corner.
Always a nice challenge for your short game
in great shape considering it is being prepped for overseeing on 10/26
Overseeding
They were preparing to oversees the executive course so the conditions were not great
Golf practice
Great fun course that allows you to work on your irons, chipping and putting. Definitely challenging yet one that I am looking forward to bringing my 7 year old granddaughter because it is definitely friendly for beginners.
It's a straight course, good practice for alignment.
Cub Course
This is a course that's always fun to play. Some nice long par 4's add some challenge. Greens were very quick. One thing I would have liked to see is a source of water at each tea box for cleaning balls/clubs.
Slow Pace today...
The rate of play today was challenging and for rhythm golfers it was not good. Course was in decent shape for this time of year even though it was still on the hot side. The recommended speed for play is 2 hours and 40 minutes and we surpassed that by over 45 minutes, They need more shade trees if we are standing around waiting...
Short course was fun
Nice fun little short course par 59..we were out first on the day and had a great time with fresh greens, nobody rushing us it was fun I’d go back to play the par 72 course easily
No one cares.
There seems to be zero investment or interest in the course from the people that run it. The course is in extremely bad condition and the staff is average at best. There is mud and large puddles of water everywhere to include large piles of dirt in the middle of fairways. Specifically hole 10 and 17. You would expect higher standards from a course in a more affluent area like Chandler. The Ocotillo course is a true representation of Chandler. I do not plan to return and will not recommend this course to friends or family. The general feeling when I talks to friends about this course is that we wish someone would come in, take over and make is something special. The potential is there for this course but unfortunately Leadership is not living up to the potential which conveys the sentiment to guests that no one cares.
