Bear Creek Golf Complex - Cub Course
About
The Bear Creek Golf Complex offers two golf courses, one championship length course and one executive length course, the Cub Course. This sporty course is ideal for beginners and families. Like its sister course, the Bear Course, there are rolling fairways and well-manicured greens that have unique swales and collection areas. The design features five par 4s and the rest are par 3s, all of which vary in length. A round of golf on the Cub Course can be completed in less than three hours. The Bear Creek Golf Complex also boasts several practice facilities including a lighted driving range, two putting greens, and a short game area with a bunker.

Badly cared for Executive course
The greens were horribly kept. The fairways needed water. There wasn't signs to the next whole and didn't show yardage. The worst Executive course ever.
Remember to read the reviews first...
We have played this course a hundred or more times over the last 10 years. And it has always lived up to our expectations. Until today.
What it looked like is that they overseeded and forgot to wait for the new grass to come up before opening it up for golf.
The course was awful, in a word.
They should charge half price for such conditions or just not let people go out until the course has a chance to re grow.
I am afraid we may not be back.
Bear Hug
Needed to get out for a quick round and didn't want to play a long course, so the Cub course at Bear Creek was perfect.
The course was a little dry making the greens hard and fast as well as the fairways. The dryness helped with distance but was a little hard to hit off of them.
The layout was a little confusing at times, but for the most part it was a typical compact executive layout.
The staff was attentive, polite and extremely pleasant! Hugs all around.
I would recommend this course anytime, but feel it may be a little slow during the busy season.
While the restaurant and bar looked very nice and inviting, I did not partake in any food or drink.
The beverage cart was nice since there was no water provided on the Cub Course. There was, however, large cups with provided ice and water at the clubhouse, which was a nice touch.
Cub Course Fun Course
The Cub course is fun. A lot of single matured ladies will hit on you. The staff is super friendly if you know what I mean... wink wink.
Nice open course
I really enjoyed the course. I played the executive, the cub course. They did just aerate the greens but wasn’t to bad. The only negative thing I have about the course was trying to figure out where the next tee box was. Not on every home but every once & awhile wasn’t sure where the next tee box was.
Excellent for Working the Short Game
My short game needs work, but a driving range doesn't allow me the chance to accurately gauge my shots. This course truly allowed me to work on my mid-range and short irons, my wedges, and my putting game. The grounds were in good condition and the pace of play during our twilight round was good.
Very forgiving course
We've played here a couple times and today the pace was great, but there wasn't much difference between the fairways and rough, not that the fairways were really rough..they both were just very short. The greens were pretty short and a little bumpy...but still not bad. It was a little frustrating that the ball washers were all dry, but all in all we had fun.
Great for a golf beginner!
I am new to the game, so this course is perfect for me to practice and improve upon my game! The staff is very friendly. I am from the Denver-metro area, and wish we had more courses like this in Denver. Will make this course a regular whenever we visit!
Ranger?
I don't mind that all courses have all classes of golfers, but when the round takes 4 hours and several holes open in front of the group in front of you ...a little push would help
Around the course
Greens were good, and course looked pretty good...finished in about 2.5 hrs..
Fee gouge
We thought we were booked at the Bear main course given an average price of $45. In fact, we were booked at the Cub course. My wife made the reservation and she is not easily confused. Anyway we paid $45 to play a very basic pitich and putt although the Cub is classified as an executive course. I get the course is what is but to charge $45 for this track is a joke. The starter was a nice guy but his nose began to grow when he told us the course was in great shape. Hole 1 looked great but I was very disappointed the rest of the way. There are far better courses even at spring break for the money.
Marginal at Best
We played the cub course & it was just ok. Not really worth the amount we paid for green fees. Greens were marginal & somewhat bumpy. Get off the fairway & nothing but dead ground, like concrete or bad weeds. Virtually no real rough area.
Then whatever you do, DO NOT order chicken tenders at the grill because they were horrible & way over-priced.
