Bear Creek Golf Complex - Cub Course
About
The Bear Creek Golf Complex offers two golf courses, one championship length course and one executive length course, the Cub Course. This sporty course is ideal for beginners and families. Like its sister course, the Bear Course, there are rolling fairways and well-manicured greens that have unique swales and collection areas. The design features five par 4s and the rest are par 3s, all of which vary in length. A round of golf on the Cub Course can be completed in less than three hours. The Bear Creek Golf Complex also boasts several practice facilities including a lighted driving range, two putting greens, and a short game area with a bunker.

Good value for the price
Be careful all the time, somewhat risky with the many rookie golfers and the close holes, either way fun round and great for improving your short and middle iron accuracy.
Way better than expected!
We came here to have some quality time with the whole family, including a couple of hackers, and had a wonderful well-paced round. The course was in very good shape after overseeding a few weeks ago. The starter asked us to do our best to stay out of the middle to help the new grass, but wasn't obnoxious about it. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the fairways and greens were maintained. For a budget priced course that is clearly designed for beginners, the cub course exceeded expectations.
Has improved
Played this executive course last year and wasn't too impressed. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it this year. Tees, fairways and greens are really good. There are a 3 tiddly holes and 5 par 4s. The rest of the par 3s are quite testing with at least a 6 iron off the tee required. The whole feel of the Bear Creek Golf Complex is excellent and with the pricing structure it represents good value for money.
The course was prepared and ready to proceed with overseeding.
Arrow signs need to be better located to direct players to next tee box. No drinking water on the course. On the flip side it's a great course for practicing the "short" game.
Good Exec. course
Course was about to be overseeded so course was getting brown. Normally in pretty good shape.
Enjoyed the course
Brought a friend who had not played the course before and he wants to play it again,9
Plenty of Service
I was very surprised to see how many employees work at this course. They were friendly and easy to work with. Many courses can have some grumpy people but you only ever see them in the club or maybe by the carts. This place had friendly employees everywhere. Even in mid-course I found some.
The course itself was 4/5 which is great considering the cost. I will go again soon.
Great course for learners
I played the par 60 Cub course with a friend who is learning the game. With wide, links style fairways, few hazards and short distances, it is an ideal course for such golfers, Nonetheless, I also enjoyed the outing. The course is in great condition for the middle of the summer. The greens are not too fast, but there is a reasonable amount of undulation, both in the fairways and the greens. It's not really a destination course, but for those in the area, it provides a great value golf outing.
cub course
The cub course could use either watering stations or have the cart person to come by more than once for 18 holes
Great, fast and fun
Enjoyed my time at Bear Creek. I'll be back. Great value
Good day to play
Course in fairly good shape considering the hot weather we have had recently. Nice and Cool at first but I was glad we started very early, it got hot quickly as the cloud cover dissipated.
Quick and fun course to play
We played the cub course. I have only been golfing one other time and I really appreciated the difficulty of this course and how it was designed. There were 3 other golfers in my group which have more skill and they still enjoyed the course.
Great executive for bringing the newbies and the girlfriend
We played this twice in the past year. The women like this course because they can drive the green on almost every hole. The putts are challenging. The course is in good shape. No cart service the day were were here. My only complaint about this course and the 'Bear' course at Bear Creek is that the grass around the greens is cut very tight and the ground is moist, making chips and pitches more prone to chunking. Other than that this golf club is great. Oh, and the churizo used here (in nachos, burritos, eggs, etc) is one of the best ever - if you want it spicier just ask - the chef will make it spicy!
Great course to get in a full round in moderate amount of time
The course is great to get in a round and have ample time for other things in the day. The pro shop is small. I got on the course early. Staff was friendly. The course is well maintained. Definite a recommendation.
short & good shape
A Short Executive Course That Is Well Maintained. Front 9 Are Very Close Together, Then It Spreads Out. A LinkS Style Course With Few Trees (And Little Shade) And Only 1 Sand Bunker. No Drinking Water On Course, But You'll See The Cart Girl Once Or Twice, And Cooler And Ice Is on Every Cart. Can Use Your Driver A Few Times, But It's Not Necessary. RougH/1st Cut Is Very Short, Shorter Than The Fairway! Good Practice For Short Game.
Great exec course
Good value for the money.
Excellent for a quick practice round i.e. short game
The hot deal we got was awesome!
We had one beginner in our group and she was thrilled to get a birdie and two pars.
Great for kids!
My two boys (ages 5 and 8) and I play this course weekly. It is perfect for them to learn the game and get out on an actual course without the stress of holding people up. They have tees specifically for new golfers and children. The white tees are 65 to 100 yards from the greens making it ideal for kids. The staff greatly encourages children to play and go out of their way to make sure they have fun. The last time we were there, multiple staff members took time to talk with my kids and encouraged them to have fun. We will continue to go here for sure!
GREAT COURSE FOR WORKING ON YOUR SHORT GAME!
I LOVE PLAYING THE CUB COURSE AT BEAR CREEK. IT'S A GREAT COURSE FOR PRACTICING YOUR SHORT GAME. WHILE NOT OVERLY CHALLENGING, IT STILL GIVES YOU LOTS OF PRACTICE FOR PITCH AND CHIP SHOTS.
Always FUN!
My wife is a new player and we both enjoy playing together on this course! It's has enough challenges to sure keep things interesting, but is also very forgiving for her (no houses on course). We've played all year round and the staff is always helpful and friendly. It's our favorite course!
