Bear Creek Golf Complex - Cub Course
About
The Bear Creek Golf Complex offers two golf courses, one championship length course and one executive length course, the Cub Course. This sporty course is ideal for beginners and families. Like its sister course, the Bear Course, there are rolling fairways and well-manicured greens that have unique swales and collection areas. The design features five par 4s and the rest are par 3s, all of which vary in length. A round of golf on the Cub Course can be completed in less than three hours. The Bear Creek Golf Complex also boasts several practice facilities including a lighted driving range, two putting greens, and a short game area with a bunker.

Well maintained course with some tricks.
A very good exec course. Suttle bends on the greens make it not so easy. Course is in good shape for this time of year.
Decent Executive Course
An executive course ideal for beginners or seasoned golfers looking to practice a variety of shots. Enough holes variety to keep from getting bored. Greens are good, although a bit slow. Not many hazards to contend with, no trees to speak of. Can have slow play due to novice players, but wide open enough to work around them. Overall conditions at Bear Creek are quite good and have improved over the last few years.
Don't expect anything but golf
Well the course was fun. A little too easy for an executive course for me though. I don't recal a single water hazard, bunker, or OB in play anywhere. I also disliked the staff. When I checked in at the club house the person behind the counter was too busy texting on his cell phone to help me.
Perfect conditions
The Cub course at Bear Creek was in perfect condition the day we played. 18 holes took only 3 hours to play. The restaurant staff and drink cart woman were friendly and knowledgeable. All in all, it was the best time I've had golfing.
The greens were in good shape and fairly quick.
The pace of play was fine - 3 hours. The course was in good shape. The greens were in good shape. The personnel at the course are always friendly and cooperative.
Not bad for beginners with money
The course is immensely over priced for how short the course is. However, as an executive course, it does have some great features. The course is maintained well and you have the ability to use virtually every club in your bag, including your driver for 5 holes. Great place to take your kids, if you don't mind spending so much money. You still have to deal with the staff that is very subjective to certain clientele. Being paired with elderly gentlemen usually means you wont be hassled by the rangers. Playing with younger players means you wont be treated with the same courtesy.
Good price for beginners , friendly, needs care
Had fun, sometime dangerous, should watch for player on next fairway
Good course for beginners or to work on the short game.
Enjoyed playing the cub course. Greens are in good condition. Although it is an executive course it does provide some challenges around and on the greens. Very quite and relaxing.
good for working on short game
This course is very easy ! They also dont even define the cart paths or should i say lack of them! Just use it for a quick tune up!{Cub Course)
FUN, SHORT COURSE
The course was in good condition and fun to play, but the pace was super slow for the distance of each hole.
Fun, fast round
Great course for beginners. Played 18 holes in 2 1/4 hours. My friend who hardly plays and is a novice had a great time. It was perfect for the situation.
Enjoyable, easy pace, helpful and friendly staff.
We enjoyed the executive course for its challenge for the short game. The course is well kept. The Staff gave us the information we needed to get started and we loved the service at the end of the game. What a plus to have our clubs wiped down. The 19th hole was great. We will certainly come back and will spread the word to our friends.
Friendly service
Great coarse, beautiful. My niece Elizabeth booked this coarse for us when we came in from CO the night before & me my husband enjoyed ourselves immensely
staff were extremely friendly everywhere on the course
need toilet unit somewhere on the front nine. young guys loading and unloading carts were very nice and helpful
Good practice for the short game
The Bear Cub is a fun little golf course but I and my friends feel it is over priced compared to other courses that are a little longer, therefore a little more challanging. It's a municiple golf course so one would think it would be reasonably priced.
good course to walk, practice learn, have fun
short, flat fairly tough greens to putt.enjoyable without much stress.
Great Executive Course
We liked this course so much we booked it again. The play was on time and we never had to wait on any hole. There were some holes over 300 yards, a few holes under 100 yards, a canal that came into play a few times and and a small lake on the last hole. The starter/marshall was very efficient and had a great sense of humour.
The Cub course is a great course to improve your short game.
This golf club offers two courses, with one being an executive. The courses are always in great condition. I would definitely recommend playing at these courses. They both offer just enough challenge for any golfer. Have fun!
Good practice for the short-medium game
Several factors make this a good value: the on-time start and smooth pace, decent course conditions, ease of walking, and a decent work-out for the short-medium game. A minor complaint was no drinking water on the course.
Not bad for a budget course
For the cheap price you can't beat it. But remember, this is a budget course so don't expect some beautiful course at this price point. For those on a budge I would recommend this course. The greens were well taken care of and the fairways as well. Staff was friendly. I only had time for 9 holes but I will be back to play again with friends who can't afford the more expensive courses.
My only complaint about this course is the lack of trees for shade. I would not recommend this course in the hot summer months.
I'm also curious why they call it "Bear Creek" I never saw any bears or creeks!
