Bear Creek Golf Complex - Cub Course
About
The Bear Creek Golf Complex offers two golf courses, one championship length course and one executive length course, the Cub Course. This sporty course is ideal for beginners and families. Like its sister course, the Bear Course, there are rolling fairways and well-manicured greens that have unique swales and collection areas. The design features five par 4s and the rest are par 3s, all of which vary in length. A round of golf on the Cub Course can be completed in less than three hours. The Bear Creek Golf Complex also boasts several practice facilities including a lighted driving range, two putting greens, and a short game area with a bunker.

Good Times
Took my 6 y/o son and my brother-in-law for a quick round. We got through 16 holes in just over 2 hours. The many par 3s on the front are good practice for my short-game and a good challenge for my son. Greens are in great shape! Fairways are soft!
greens were excellent
great to vget out with family and enjoy company some longer holes to rip your drives
great starter course
played with wife and sister, wife was playing first round in 30 years and had new clubs..staff was very helpfull and played the CUB course which is pefect for novice or famil golf and good for iron practise also..we had a fantastic day and i would recommed this course to anyone just learning golf....
Looking for a tuneup course
Very helpful staff, extremely fast greens.
Will play again!
Nice executive course.
Good course to warm up on and just have some fun. Pace of play was great.
If only I could putt !
Short course , but being on the correct side of the hole/green is important. The greens seemed much faster than other times I've played there.
its a good course for amateurs
The greens are fast. There are easy par 3s. There should be more par 4s.
Good tune up for your short game.
Starter was very friendly, and help make the day very enjoyable, the course is better than was expected for an executive course. Played with my son (5 hdc) and his wife, who is just starting out, had a great time... Greens putted very true, very enjoyable day.
Best Executive Course We've Found in this Area So Far
This is a great course for beginners, as well as those wishing to sharpen their short game. It's our favorite executive course and we've played lots of them. Greens are a challenge which is nice. Fairways have been in better shape.
Cub Course
Played with my wife and her friend both of whom are beginning golfers so we played 9 holes on Cub course. Golf went very smoothly, teamed with a forth nice elderly gentleman. Course was easy enough that my wife and her friend were not overwhelmed and frustrated, but challenging enough that I enjoyed the round with them. Course in nice shape and greens rolled true with enough break to give a fair test. Booked through Golf Now so cart was included in price on line, gal at check in tried to charge me extra until I pulled out the conformation sheet I had printed out, so I was able to get full services booked.
Great value
Got a great deal for a great course. Great for seniors who cannot hit long.
Got a terrific value.
Great little course, lousy pace of play.
The Bear Creek Cub (executive) course is one of the better short courses I've played. The course conditions were very good, the greens rolled true, and the overall facility is in nice shape. I was impressed with how much care went into a course that admittedly attracts a more novice type of golfer. Our day could've been a disaster; I dropped my Bushnell range finder between the range and the first tee, but it was found and turned in by the beverage cart girl. Unfortunately, the pace of play is extremely slow; there is no starter and no rangers to regulate play, which should be a necessity with so many beginners out there. You should be able to play this course in just over 2 hours; it took us almost 3. Singles and pairs in front of us refused to combine groups, and playing through isn't an option (maybe newer golfers just don't get this part of the game yet). Like many courses in the area, the rough is allowed to go dormant in the winter and is mowed very close; missed fairways and greens aren't much of a penalty. We had a nice lunch after th round, decent food and drink. I will play here again, but be ready to wait on almost every tee.
Not a bad place to play
Course was in good shape. Solid course but nothing stood out. The staff was about as pleasant as a sunburn. Good practice facilities.
The Cub Review
Very nice. I enjoyed the fact that they had a starter for the holiday. Went very smoothly and pace of play was excellent!
Great Course For beginners
This was my first time playing the Executive aka Cub course, and we had a great time. My girlfriend just started playing golf, and I figured this would be a nice course for her to go out and hit some balls without being rushed by other golfers. We were able to play at a nice easy pace, and take in a course that was kept in very good shape. I definitely recommend this course for any new golfers, or somebody who just wants to get in a quick and easy 18.
Challenging Executive Course
Course is in great shape to practice your iron shots.
Good value for the price
Be careful all the time, somewhat risky with the many rookie golfers and the close holes, either way fun round and great for improving your short and middle iron accuracy.
Way better than expected!
We came here to have some quality time with the whole family, including a couple of hackers, and had a wonderful well-paced round. The course was in very good shape after overseeding a few weeks ago. The starter asked us to do our best to stay out of the middle to help the new grass, but wasn't obnoxious about it. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the fairways and greens were maintained. For a budget priced course that is clearly designed for beginners, the cub course exceeded expectations.
Has improved
Played this executive course last year and wasn't too impressed. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it this year. Tees, fairways and greens are really good. There are a 3 tiddly holes and 5 par 4s. The rest of the par 3s are quite testing with at least a 6 iron off the tee required. The whole feel of the Bear Creek Golf Complex is excellent and with the pricing structure it represents good value for money.
The course was prepared and ready to proceed with overseeding.
Arrow signs need to be better located to direct players to next tee box. No drinking water on the course. On the flip side it's a great course for practicing the "short" game.
