Coldwater Golf Club
About
Located in the West Valley, the championship-length course at the Coldwater Golf Club boasts several different challenges for an interesting round of golf. There are elevated tees as well as several dry washes. There are two lakes providing water hazards on the golf course as well. There are also dramatic elevation changes caused by the mountainous terrain. Aside from the challenging game, the course also offers beautiful mountain vistas. The course has not only one signature course but two. The first is the modest eighth hole. Although it is short at 100 yards, it features an elevated tee and a triple-tiered green. Coldwater Golf Club also finishes with a signature hole. The beginning tee shot plays to an open fairway over water with a dry wash to the left, while the approach shot is closed-in by another wash to the left and a lake to the right.

Course conditions poor
Played there a month ago and was in rough shape . T- boxes were terrible greens awful .. course was worse a month later . Golpher holes everywhere, dirt piles on the greens , worse course in west valley that I have played.
Overall decent
Great value for money course if you pre pay, pace of play was slower but was expected for Memorial Day. What we did not expect was a foursome I front of us to take 18 shot per person to reach the hole, I mean to each their own I’m not going to be annoyed if that’s what it takes. What did bug me was my playing partner and I had seen them clear the green and decided to play on, we both hit from about 180 yards out onto the green. Rolled up to the green to be met by 3/4 of these golfers screaming and cussing us out. I would understand if we had hit while they were on the green but they were already moving onto another hole. We apologized and they continued to come at us even at one point threatening us. We took a step back called the Marshall and the course handled it perfectly with professionalism. Could not have asked more from the course staff and the rest of our day went by smoothly.
Sunday Golf
The course is getting better
Fairways are greener
Greens are starting to level out
Great course!
First time playing here. We loved the layout and the staff was friendly and helpful. The greens are rough right now but hopefully that will change. For the price, it is a great place to keep up on your driver and irons. We will play it again.
Pace of play
Not that's it's the course responsibility to keep the pace going, but 4 hour is ridiculous. The 2 guys in front of us were terrible, no golf edicout. People if you are a beginner or just not a good golfer please let people go around you.
Course conditions
Coldwater is a fun course, but it’s in terrible shape. The fairways are dried up, and the greens are bare in some areas, bumpy in others and just overall in bad shape. It hasn’t even been the normal temperature s in Phoenix yet, but you think the course had been baking all summer in the desert sun. I hope they get a new greens keeper who cares about the quality of the course. Arizona is a golf destination, and right now, Coldwater isn’t. Sorry!
Course
This course is a dog track. The fairways are dead. The greens are spotty. They need to fix it ASAP. Sorry cold water staff but play it a different course where you get more value for your money
Tee boxes
There redoing the tee boxes all tees moved up course is in great shape I will play here alot this summer
Pace of play
Was on pace for an 8 hour round, no Marshall to direct traffic. Was held up at a hole for 40 minutes while a 4 some was in the range finding their balls. Be better.
Greens and Tee Boxes a Mess, The Rest was great
Excellent price ($25/golfer w/ cart).
The location, staff, and amenities were great. Unfortunately, the greens were overtaken and tee box grass was as high as my longest tees.
The course layout was confusing and the signage was near non-existent.
At one point, this must have been an amazing course. Unfortunately, it is just not holding up or being kept up.
Would love to play this course under better conditions.
The layout and open fairways of the course are nice, but the course is not well taken care of. The greens are in terrible condition.
