Coldwater Golf Club

We have been playing here for the last several years and was one of our favorites. The course conditions this year are terrible. Not sure what is going on with the course.

Course was in rough shape, greens were not ideal and then on top of that, was told by the starter to pick the pace at up at 11 even though we were waiting for 2 groups of 4 in front of us. Finished in 4 hours for 18 didn’t know needed running shoes to play the course

Love the course just dont no about the greens not my favorite type of greens balls jump around and dont roll true

Very disappointed to how much this course has declined in just a year! Have played here at least once each year for the last three winters, have really enjoyed the course, and returned this year expecting a fun round. What a disappointment! Top of the list… the greens are TERRIBLE! Tee boxes are beat up. Fairways are in very poor shape, little to no grass in way too many spots. Anything in the rough, you might as well be hitting off blacktop - harder than rock, as bad as hitting out of one of the washes (where at least you expect and “deserve” a poor lie).

Customer service, always an OUTSTANDING feature in the past, is now just mediocre… not terrible or unfriendly, per se, but certainly not energetically making you feel welcome as they have in the past.

Had planned to play here a couple times this trip, but now will look elsewhere. Hoping we see positive reviews before next year’s trip that they’ve turned it around so we can return… we REALLY like the layout!

So disappointed in the state of this course. Gotta be preparing for bankruptcy I suspect. Tee boxes are pitiful, greens are full-on weeds painted green, and the garbage....everywhere. one hole has an old decrepit mattress 20 yards off the tee box. It looks like the homeless are taking up residency. No refreshment cart which is the least of their problems. Had two guests from Canada, 5 and 7 handicap golfers. They were mortified we shelled out 75 bucks for this debacle. Ownership should be ashamed. Will NEVER be back.

Extremely disappointed. Paid almost $100 for a round here but the tee boxes were a joke, the pace of play was waaaaay too slow, the greens were bumpy and slicker than a worn out tire. And on top of that, there bathrooms on the course were locked. When checking in, no one told us about no bathrooms nor that some of the blue tees were no in order. All in all, not worthy of paying $100, more like $35. I won't be coming back here.

First time playing since 2022 and it is not worth the money anymore.

The greens were more mud than grass and the fairways were sparse.

No chipping practise area, driving range on mats and no practise putting greens.

Play it if can get on for $40. Vey disappointed. This used to be a great course.

The Fairways were is decent shape, but the Tee Boxes and Greens were in BAD shape.

I love the layout at CW, but in the four winters I’ve played there, it’s in the worst shape I’ve seen. Every single green is bumpy due to multiple types of grass growing between the green-painted bare spots. Closed tee boxes, and the need to place your ball in grass in most fairways…. Unfortunate, and not worth $99 (included tax)

The staff there are all very kind and helpful. The greens were absolutely awful, however, and it made for a rough playing experience.

I drive by the course and it has looked great. Fairways and areas around the greens are great however the greens are a little bit bare. It appears that they have been sprayed and there is just something about them, the rolls bounce, just seemed off, was hoping the play holes would be different than the practice green but were just as off.

The greens can only be called as such because they use a great deal of spray paint to make it so. Once approached, there is very little grass, mostly painted surface. Hopefully, they get quantity discounts on paint. It is understood that water is a premium so all grass in rough areas is brown, Or dirt. Cannot emphasize the level of disappointment. Scheduled play here as it was recommended by my partner. Would not return.

The greens are in pretty bad shape, that’s really the only negative. Fairways and tee boxes are good and they are working on some of the holes tee boxes. The course is a great layout, it’s challenging with a good mix of moderate to high skill level holes. Even though the greens could be better, the price is great for this time of year compared to other courses. There’s a lot of potential for this course!

Unfortunately this course is in really rough shape. There is virtually no grass on the greens, the ball is bouncing as it rolls. The tee boxes are not maintained well and the fairways on the front were really bad but the back was better. It has some challenges but if you are looking for a lower price alternative, this is not it.

I was a bit surprised to see lots of patchy grass areas in several of the fairways and greens that look like some kind of blight attacked them. I'm not going to pretend to be an agrarian, but it almost appears that the overseed did not go well--at least on several of the fairways. Still enjoyed the round.
