Coldwater Golf Club
About
Located in the West Valley, the championship-length course at the Coldwater Golf Club boasts several different challenges for an interesting round of golf. There are elevated tees as well as several dry washes. There are two lakes providing water hazards on the golf course as well. There are also dramatic elevation changes caused by the mountainous terrain. Aside from the challenging game, the course also offers beautiful mountain vistas. The course has not only one signature course but two. The first is the modest eighth hole. Although it is short at 100 yards, it features an elevated tee and a triple-tiered green. Coldwater Golf Club also finishes with a signature hole. The beginning tee shot plays to an open fairway over water with a dry wash to the left, while the approach shot is closed-in by another wash to the left and a lake to the right.

Fun Track
Overall the course was in good shape for the middle of summer. The only area I would give a below standard rating would be the bunkers. I did think it was slightly over priced for a Monday during summer in the valley of the Sun. This might be the reason on 18 golfers booked for the day. Still a fun course and yes I will play it again.
Little rough but good for the price
Honestly compared to some other reviews I wasn’t expecting much. However, staff was super friendly and helpful. Course wasn’t in that bad of shape and for the price well worth it.
Fairways pretty bare
I like Coldwater Golf Course. It's close to home and is a fun course to play. The day was very hot and I was able to play in 2 hours 18 minutes as I only had to play through one twosome on the 16th hole. The tee boxes and greens are both in good shape. The fairways are pretty thin and although I hit many fairways I had thin grass or dead grass on most of my approach shots. Of course it's been a brutal summer with record heat over 110 degrees almost every day and no rain since March. But there are other courses that have better grass right now, I guess they are watering more. But for the price of the hot deal I won't complain too much.
For an average temp. of 115° this july
The course was good : considering the cacti in my front yard are dying ! It was even better because all the recreational golfers who should limit their golf, to Goofy golf were no where to be seen !
Good time to practice, and there is always a nice green spot to place your ball if / when it ends up on a burnt spot it's just called lift and place "summer conditions"
Staff always more than professional and I do truly appreciate the ground crew doing what they do under these summer conditions

Terrible shape
The tee boxes are uneven and without grass. The fairways are burnt out and a good drive down the middle will leave you with a second shot from the dirt. The greens are less than desirable. Used to play this course all the time, but not anymore. Definitely not worth $62
Putting Surfaces Bouncy
Played here several times but this was the worst course conditions…. Fairways desperately needed water. Worst of all, greens were not smooth but very bouncy, small bumps on every hole. Staff was friendly, great service from cart woman … had a breakfast burrito (delicious) and woman working kitchen was very friendly! Will be back but probably not until course is groomed in October.
Nice Course - Hoppy Greens
Fairways in great condition. Some of the greens are spotty causing the ball to hop and change speed and direction when putting. Not terribly bad but it is noticeable.
Staff is extremely nice and accommodating.
Very dry
Course was very dry and hard. Greens were very bumpy look like they weren't watered in a while. Would not recommend this course till they start watering it. Some of the fairways were all right. Some of the greens on the back where decent maybe two or three of them on the back nine. Overall very disappointed
Good Solid Golf Course
Overall the course was in good shape. The greens had been punched recently (10 - 14 days), so there was a slight waffle effect. I would expect that to go away in another week. The course layout was good. The clubhouse had a limited meny, but the food was plentiful and good. A very good value for the money.
Summer golf
A fun layout. Just have to realize it’s summer in the desert. So, for the price it’s great.
So friendly
I always enjoy going to Coldwater
Rough shape
Probably the worst I have seen it in a couple years no my worth more than $30.
Needs some work
Greens were punched about 3 weeks ago and don’t seem to be recovering very well. Tee boxes, at least the blues are chewed up. Reds and golds need to be flattened. Hard to find a flat stance. Fairways are in descent condition for AZ summer course. Hard to keep enough water on them in a dessert.. course overall is in descent shape and provides a fun round. They do need to keep an eye on pace. First group off was a foursome. Next three groups were 2s and 3s. The foursome needed to let other play through a little sooner…
West side gem
Seasonal pricing is some of the best around, gas carts aren’t governed to oblivion, and the course is just FUN. The signature hole is a par 3 with a water carry and a three tiered green that slopes back to front…..lots of drama for your weekly group. Frickin love it here. Even if you don’t play it’s a great 2-4hr hang
