Located in the West Valley, the championship-length course at the Coldwater Golf Club boasts several different challenges for an interesting round of golf. There are elevated tees as well as several dry washes. There are two lakes providing water hazards on the golf course as well. There are also dramatic elevation changes caused by the mountainous terrain. Aside from the challenging game, the course also offers beautiful mountain vistas. The course has not only one signature course but two. The first is the modest eighth hole. Although it is short at 100 yards, it features an elevated tee and a triple-tiered green. Coldwater Golf Club also finishes with a signature hole. The beginning tee shot plays to an open fairway over water with a dry wash to the left, while the approach shot is closed-in by another wash to the left and a lake to the right.

Fun and forgiving course

Well kept course. Good for beginners as well. The course is very forgiving of bad shots and easy to locate your arrant hits. I know lol

The staff was very friendly and enjoyed talking with them.

Nice course for the money

We payed $70 and played with a guy that played it a lot. He said the value was worth it for the area. The greens were ok but a little slow. Had fun and would play again.

Good layout. Poor conditions

The course is a fun layout. Conditions are poor. Lots of weeds, Greens are patchy and bumpy. Fairways are shaggy. This is normal for Coldwater so nothing new. Because course conditions are so consistently poor I only play Coldwater in Sept/Oct when other courses are closed for overseeding. I HATE the CC fee as well. Kaitlyn the beverage cart manager makes a superb Bloody Mary and is super nice and friendly!

Visitor to Phoenix area

We met family and friends for NASCAR championship and 3 of us wanted to golf without breaking the bank. One of our trio was very much a beginner. I saw some of the reviews to be somewhat negative. I guess it depends on what you’re used to, but I found the front nine to be forgiving for a beginner, while the back nine adding considerable challenge with well protected greens, and tighter margins of error. Unfamiliar with the area, I looked online and found many courses with green fees of $150 or more. Roughly $60 each bought us a very enjoyable day, with surprisingly green fairways for a desert course.

Greens a bit spotty compared to last year at same time but the summer was very hot so that’s to be expected.

The course is a nice one especially for the fees but it is more than concerning that they have what they call “ dynamic “ green fees and they change the cost from day by as much as $ 25 for no logical reason.
