The course at Copper Canyon Golf Club is deceptively exclusive in that although the club has prestige and a luxurious atmosphere, there are some reasonably priced tee times. The layout features an interesting mix of holes that offer panoramic views of the White Tank Mountains to the south. The large, undulating greens that are framed by generous fairways are the trademark of the course. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and there are also sand bunkers situated throughout. This golf course offers four sets of teeboxes. Copper Canyon Golf Club has extensive practice facilities for golfers to use as well, including a full length driving range with several target greens, a large practice putting green, and a short game area with a bunker.

Overall great course. Tons of bunkers, Beware!

Copper Canton is a scenic course, very challenging with bunkers leading up and surrounding every green. Lush fairways and large entertaining greens.

Fine Course

Except for one fairway and 1 green, the course was in excellent shape. Adjacent desert areas could be cleaner for appearance. Pace of play was excruciating. Copper Canyon is a retirement community course and players need to face reality and play from more forward tees. Drop your partner off at their ball, get to your ball and be ready to hit as soon as it is clear ahead. I play this course often and players act as though they are professionals who have to calculate exact yardages, take 5 practice swings etc. before they hit the ball...and then watch it skitter 60 yards along the ground.

Plush fairways, and some nice scenic holes.

The fairways wre in excellent shape but the greens could use a little more tender loving care but predictable a good shot to green still held nicely. This course has nice wide fairways and some very nice scenic holes. We teed off at 2:10 and were done in good time.

GREAT LAYOUT, WORTH THE DRIVE TO SURPRISE,AZ

Course was in excellent condition. Experienced a one hour frost delay but play moved along at a rapid pace once underway, Pro shop and cart personnel were very friendly and eager to assist. A fair layout but will still punish the errant shot by placing you in desert-side rocks/gravel. Greens putted as true as they looked. Water present but not really in place save a couple of par 3's and a par 5. A "must-play is you are in the area.

Beautiful Course!

I have played this course twice and I liked it so much I am going to play it again today. What stands out is the condition of the course - very green and perfectly manicured. Also, challenging layout and top notch amenities. It is a bit off the beaten path, but worth the trip.

The course is pristine with challenging greens.

We really enjoyed playing copper canyon. The staff was very friendly and the price included a cart and free practice balls.
The setting and surrounding area is very serene. We will recommend it to our friends.

Interesting Layout.

The golf course was in good condition. Typical Troon golf course layout with well bunkered fairways and some large greens. The front nine was nicely laid out. The back nine was slightly more challenging with water on several holes. One oddity was the lengthy ride to get to a few holes which almost seemed off the property. Otherwise the course offered top notch practice facilities, very nice club house and a super friendly staff.

Great day on the course!

Copper Canyon is not the most difficult course in the valley, by a longshot, but it is still reasonably challenging, well maintained, well run and the scenery is a big plus. Warning: it's a bit of a hike to get out there - but worth it. Course is friendly to all skill levels. We played yesterday and the wind and tricky pin positions made for an intereseting, fun golf day.

One of my favorite courses in the area. Have never been disappointed with Copper Canyon.

The course is beautiful

We loved this course....our first time. However, we were the last out for the day and the greens were in poor shape. It appeared that people were not repairing their divits and the greens were so soft that when previous players dropped the flag, it left impressions. Otherwise, a great experience.

course condition is outstanding and there are some very challenging holes

a weather front had moved through the area and even though conditions were extreme i could not pass up the opportunity to play this course for less than $30.00 .. have played the course in the past and feel it is slightly overpriced but it is the beginning of snowbird season in the valley ...the drive to the course can take some time

Always in great shape

Copper Canyon is by far the nicest course in the NW area of Phoenix. For most, it is a long drive but it will be worth it to anyone who chooses to make the trip. Since I am only 3 minutes away, I am very forturnate as I get to conveniently play one of the nicest and most affordable courses in Phoenix.

Very nice layout. Well maintained with challenging greens and bunkers.

Typical desert course with not much elevation change, but interesting holes. Nice greens that were fast for being overseeded. Lots of strategically placed bunkers, both fairway and greens. Plenty of room on the failways but they demanded that you think about tee shot placement. The staff was great and the pace of play was just over four hours. Good value for the money. I will definitely return.

The greens were in great condition and true.

It had been just over a year since I last played here and it was definately in much better conditon this time. The views are spectacular and the course was in great shape. I don't know what your policy is but please advise players to repair ball marks at check in and at the turn. I repaired at least 3-4 marks on each green.

Not happy!!! Course has bad rep for rushing and rude rangers!!!

3 Things ruined my round here

1) I was early and the ranger attempted to rush me out before I got to practice. At 60+ dollars a round, they should not be making their scheduling issues my problem.
2) I was put with a 3 some(4 total), and we played FAST!!! We where inside four hour playing time(I clocked it at 3:49 total). Didn't stop the ranger from giving us a hard time to make us go even faster.
3) The same ranger who tried rushed me out was rude to the one woman in my group.

This is not usually the issue with all Troon courses. I played Estrella the following day and as usual was treated very well. The group I was with, interestingly enough single, and couple I joined both complained about copper canyon on same issues. I won't play here again.
